Brooklyn Circus will be releasing two Varsity Jackets for Holiday 2009. One of them comes in all black, the other one comes in navy with off-white sleeves and orange accents, our personal favorite. The jackets will be released in December at both the NY and SF stores.
Freshjive’s well-researched and literature-backed social commentary continue on with the upcoming release of their “Hope is Fading Fast” t-shirt. Officially set to also usher in the new “logo-less” Freshjive, the t-shirt is a bold statement on the current (or lack therefor of) change initiated by President Barack Obama. Details of Freshjive’s own reasonings can be seen at their The World’s Got Problems column. The t-shirt will be available at select retailers at the Freshjive Reserve store in Fairfax, Los Angeles.
With Black Friday taking place towards the end of this week, A Bathing Ape’s US locations will release a a limited edition Black Friday Full-Zip Shark Hoodie. The piece’s design isn’t anything ground-breaking by any means but given the usual visibility of the Shark motif from Bape, it’s much more understated. The hoodie will drop at BAPE STORE Los Angeles and New York at 11:00 am and subsequently online at US.Bape.com.
Marked by a dark and balanced aesthetic combining the ample use of black with stunning stones, CORE JEWELS releases their own take on the popular college ring. Decked out in a matte silver finish, the ring features a multi-faceted black stone with engravings throughout. Available now at rumours.
Amongst the mostly metal offerings from Parisian collective Surface to Air are these new 2 & 3-Finger Color Rings, offering in tonal colorways including Red, Blue, and Black. The rings come in seven different styles, all showcasing a 2 or 3-finger format. They should soon become available through the Surface to Air online store.

After just announcing their partnership with Japanese brand Visvim for a line called Moncler V, the classic outerwear label now brings news of a collection by Grammy-winning musician Pharrell Williams. The collection features an assortment of all-black jackets, and includes a “pacifist” version of the bulletproof jacket (pictured) with Velcro-ed side slits, reversible matte/shiny down vests and elongated puffers.
Each jacket is built with textiles from Bionic Yarn, a Pharrell controlled company that produces fabric from recycled plastic bottles. Furthermore, printed linings feature images of lush forests, shot at dusk by Japanese artist Keita Sugiura. Prices and distribution details are yet to be finalized.
For those of you that like the hiking inspired looks, yet do not want to take it too far, the new Nike Sportswear Magma AC QS might just be the right thing. Basically Nike took their Magma hiking boot and added a cupsole to it, giving it a more sporty look, while keeping it overall very clean. The mid top sneaker comes in a brown colorway with red laces and black outer sole and will be released atMita on November 21st.
Once again Bape and Tempur get together. This time they worked on the Baby Milo pillow. The pillow features two different Milo faces, one on each side, and will be released in the near future
These have to be some of the best iPhone slider cases to come from Incase and actually in general to date – the Chrome Slider Cases. Featuring hardshell plastic construction with a minimal wall thickness of 1mm, each Chrome Slider Case features a pop fluro interior with rubber guardrails for shock absorption as well as impact and scratch protection. Making its debut this year, the hybrid Air Hoop Structure releases in a brand new colourway. If you haven’t already noticed, this version is based on the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’, and has started making its way to retailers including proper.

David Robinson’s Nike Air Force 180 Pump Hi gave inspiration to the Nike Auto Force 180’s latest colorway which is Teal/Black. From a White leather base, Teal accent gets visible especially on the midsole where the splatter design stems from the heel. Black plays its role on the strap across the midfoot, tongue, collar, heel panel, and midsole.
While we are looking at the full collection for men being offered to Jordan Brand we may as well check out the boys and girls collection. While a lot of the shoes are just the same as the adult models as you can guess the girls shoes have some nice color ways. Jordan Brand pays tribute to their iconic first model by way of the Alpha Air Jordan I. The reworked model doesn’t go too crazy with the updates and thats probably a good thing since by sticking to the old script they don’t change what we love about the shoe that much. The sole is given a Zoom Air upgrade while the upper benefits from the use of an overlay to smooth the whole design out and remove most of the stitches. Nixon and Barneys have put together their fourth consecutive holiday watch collection. Made up of five new exclusive timepieces, the collection features three custom 51-30’s, alongside updated versions of The Magnacon and The Time Teller P. As you can see, they kept it classy with heavy doses of black complemented by rose gold accents. Available exclusively at Barneys New York and Barneys New York CO-OP locations (including online) starting November 14, 2009.
Nike Sportswear made some noise last month with the hiking boot inspired Air Royal Mid Quickstrike release. This month, the Air Royal Mid is featured in a more “high-fashion” look with heavy doses of black patent leather offset by a black suede toe area. Other features include a perforated Swoosh, light grey mid-sole, black laces and tonal tongue patch. The patent leather may be a bit much for some, but a solid release nonetheless. Hype Means Nothing presents their latest series of t-shirts, this time working with iconic artists Warhol and Basquiat. The special Warhol vs. Basquiat tees will come out on November 16th, exclusively at colette.
Parisian graffiti artist André once again keeps himself busy these days. Just recently we reported about his collaboration with Incase as part of the Curated by Arkitip collection. Here we take a look now at a series of Quiksilver that the artist custom hand painted with his artwork. Overall he worked on 12 surfboard. For now it is now clear whether these will be sold, auctioned off or not come out at all. We will keep you posted.
After a first initial preview, we give you a full look at the Beams x Reebok Insta Pump Fury Pack. The Japanese retailer worked on two colorways of the sneaker – green and orange. Both sneakers are entirely tonal, including the laces and the complete outer sole. They will be releasing them in December.
For Spring/Summer 2010 Vans Vault will be dropping four solid new two-tone colorways in the Half-Cab LX. Drawing from more rugged footwear, these Half-Cab sport a notable metal lace hook in the corner position. Overall they come in four different premium suede color ups: Black Snake and Gunmetal; Black Snake and Chili Pepper; Black Snake and Tobacco Brown; and Black Snake and Deep Coral. An amazing interpretation of an all-time classic. Release is scheduled for quite a ways down the road.. March/April 2010.

As the shoe is released in November, we figured we had to do a Fall/Winter sneaker that will keep you dry and warm. For upper materials we have worked with nubuck and wool and hooks and rings for the laces to get that proper hiking boot feel. In the lining we added Thinsulate for extra insulation, and Reebok Play Dry to transport moisture from your foot to help you to stay warm. With safety orange details, you are sure to be seen if you are lost, and the text on the side “alltid redo” (always ready) is the Swedish Scout motto.
The Reebok Pump 20th x Sneakersnstuff will come with four sets of laces: dark grey, light grey, orange and a multicolor SNS patterned lace. As we’ve mentioned with all styles in this program, these are limited to 31 pairs and will be released on November 20th.
Bell & Ross has released what they claim is “the first watch to be constructed entirely of a carbon fiber case”. And if you’re a fan of carbon fiber, the dial and strap also feature the lightweight, high performance material as well. Ready for 100m water resistance. Limited to 500 examples. A lot of watches today, right? But I’ll be damned if this one isn’t a looker.
Devilock called on Garni to produce a series of acrylic devilock skull rings in celebration of their 13th anniversary. The ring comes in black, white or red (red is a Zozo exclusive) and features a silver coin on the side containing the markings of both brands. Exciting to see the use of an actual devilock on a Devilock product – as far as I know it’s pretty rare. Drops at Eproze on November 24, 2009.
