Kanye West Rocks G-Shock 25th Anniversary

After rocking MSG the night before Kanye West performed for a smaller gathering of the who’s who of the sneaker and streetwear industry at the Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary. Of course Sneaker News was more interested in what Kanye had on his feet, sadly enough he was not wearing his Nike Yeezys instead he had on a pair of Christian Dior super high top sneakers (Thanks Sneaker John for the catch). In addition to his taste for super high top sneakers, he was surrounded by topless dancers for a good part of the performance.

We generally don’t talk about none sneakers here at Sneaker News but certain sneaker related items are always worth a mention. Since extremely successful release of the Air Jordan Elephant Print track jacket from last Spring, Jordan Brand has decided to release a variation of the theme but this time on a classic Member’s Only style jacket. Nike WMNS Air Stab Premium - Solar - July 2008

Nike is definitely trying to stay on the ladies’ goo side, releasing hot new colorways and models that will have the ladies drawing even more attention than usual. They are set to release this latest colorway in the Women’s Air Stab Premium, which features a clear upper with an overlying fabric, which definitely adds more depth to the shoe. In more Nike news, a new pair of Air Flight 89’s have just released featuring a combination of white, black, orange and gold. Gold accents and a perforated leather upper are also included on this Nike Air Flight 89, a great compliment to the Air Flight 89’s bold curves. Puma Roma 68

It should be known that Puma is re-issuing their timeless classic, the one and only Roma sneaker. Originally revealed to the public by the German sportswear company Puma in 1968, this release will pay a well-deserved tribute to fans of the Puma Roma. The “white/team royal” colorway will be the first one to hit the shops, it will feature a flawless leather upper as well as a delicate suede formstripe on the side. Lastly, it’ll have a sticker of authenticity with roots dating back to 1968.

Adidas Consortium May ‘08 - P-Sole/Trimm Trab & More

We continue to give you a look at the new Adidas Consortium releases. They present another set of P-Soles, Adidas’s take on a classic plimsole silhouette. This time they present it featuring a suede toe cap and checker board upper in two colorways.

Also they released the Forest Hill, Trimm Trab and Tobacco, sneakers which originated in the late 70’s. All three come in premium materials and with interesting patterns.

Briezrs presents: The PUMA Pixelation & Raphael

Pixelation, inspired by the cyberworld.

Briezrs was browsing through some pictures and when he tried to zoom in to look at the details, he noticed the image became pixelated, actually his initial view was that pixelated pictures looked awful, can’t see much details and are just too many squares. But then again, it may look nice if there are different shades of bright colours, so he experiment with it and came up with a custom edition of “PUMA Pixelation”. I personally LOVE these kicks and I want’em to add’em to my collection!

N.E.R.D., Kanye, Lupe & Pusha Remix “Everyone Nose”

Apparently, the secret is out: club-hopping women love cocaine. In case you hadn’t noticed all the girls standing in the line for the bathroom, Pharrell, Chad and Shay’s recent single “Everyone Nose” has put the phenomenon on blast. Now, the song—which is the lead single from N.E.R.D.’s third album Seeing Sounds—has been remixed with a new beat and verses from the rest of the CRS supergroup (Lupe and Kanye), along with Clipse’s Pusha T.

Skate Study House Opening Reception @ BLENDS LA

BLENDS in Downtown Los Angeles played host last night for the opening reception of the Skate Study House. Skate Study House is a project that utilizes skateboard decks, wheels, wheel bearings, and other various materials to recreate iconic and timeless furniture pieces found in Case Study Houses. Los Angeles boasts the largest quantity of these influential houses that were built between 1945 and 1966, so it is fitting to see this collection make it to LA.

There was a strong turnout for the event hosted by its designer, Gil Le Bon De Lapointe, Sole Technology CEO, Pierre Andre Senizergues, and the crew at BLENDS LA. Drinks provided by Smartwater and Vitaminwater were flowing as DJ Greyboy played tunes for the attendees to enjoy throughout the night. Dance Right at La Cita hosted the after party where the large crowd ultimately relocated until last call commenced prompting the end of the night’s festivities.

The show will be running for the next week. All pieces are fully functional and for sale throughout the duration of the showing at BLENDS.

realMad Hectic S/S ‘08 Pile Shoes

The rather interesting new sneaker comes this season from Japanese brand realMadHectic - the Pile. Taking some inspiration from the Adidas Gazelle and court shoes in general, the Pile comes with a terry cloth upper, a material that screams summer. Also they give it some nice and bright colorways, while keeping the overall silhouette very clean.

Nike Dunk Hi “Seamless Polka Dot”

We present you another interesting Nike Dunk Hi, that has been previewed to us today here in Beijing. Its a seamless Dunk Hi, meaning that there is no stitching on the upper and the entire upper features a multicolor polka dot design, that also makes up the Swoosh. At first maybe reminding you of the recent polka dot Bapesta’s, but technically much more interesting.

Raheem DeVaughn’s video chicks love Complex.

Based on their lyrical woes, R&B singers must spend most of their time getting played out like suckers by trifling women. But this time, we actually approve of Raheem DeVaughn’s choice in chick. In his new video “Try Again,” the third single off of Love Behind The Melody, he gets up-close and personal with a young lady named Tu Dang, who spends part of the video reading the February/March issue of Complex in her underwear. Sounds like wifey material to us.

The model/makeup artist was brought onto the video by Washington, D.C. rapper Tabi Bonney, who directed the clip for Devaughn. After the jump, view a gallery of the Asian stunner’s photos and watch her in action in the “Try Again” video.

HTC Diamond

With the mobile world turned upside down with the release of the iPhone, every touch-based phone since Apple’s hot seller has been dubbed the “iPod Killer” however few have lived up to the billing. Enter the newly announced HTC Diamond. Utilizing Windows Mobile 6.1, the phone features VGA Screen, quad-band HSPDA 7.2 and other iPhone-esque features. Despite initial reports that the interface is a little slow, the bugs should be worked out by the time a release date rolls around. No word yet on a stateside release date.

Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Edition IWC

Luxury German auto-maker, Mercedes-Benz, teamed up with Swiss watchmaker, IWC, to make a very limited and exclusive SL63 AMG. The car has a new white paint finish dubbed designo magno Kashmir, which is a combination of shades of pearl and egg shell color. The car has many special features and additions such as AMG sport seats that are covered with Tobago Brown nappa leather, black logo-emblazoned floor mats, and of course everything else the standard SL63 AMG has to offer. Only 200 cars will be made and the lucky owners of these cars will also receive IWC’s “Grosser Ingenieur” watch.

On the heels of Kanye West’s massive part in the rise to prominence with his Alain Milki custom-made 1 of 1 glasses comes some more affordable options courtesy of Shutter Shades. Shutter Shades’ latest styles include Clear, Gold, Silver and Black. The Clear version is currently available now at Shutter Shades while you can expect the latter three styles to release later this month.

adidas Consortium Superskate Street

The latest release from the adidas Consortium series features the slim profiled Superskate Street. Despite the multitude of colors used, the sneaker is kept in check thanks largely in part to an all white upper and sole. Available now at Hangtime and should hit adidas Consortium dealers in the next little while.
