Back to the Future 2 – Nike Dunk High (Customs)

Here is a detailed look at the Back to the Future 2 – Nike Dunk High (Customs) which were created by 3R Customs. Everyone has at some point in their lives seen Back to the Future so its only right! Recently, a 3R Customs customer named sportfreak requested a pair of customs based off the original Back To The Future Dunks. Sole Jester from 3R Customs took his idea and inspiration from the colorful design off Marty’s lenticular hat which he wore in the sequel to Back To The Future. Surprisingly, there also happened to be a few surprised guests in town from the Back to the Future movies who stopped by to have a look at the Back to the Future 2 – Nike Dunk High (Customs). When the Co-Writer and Doc Brown saw them, they instantly fell in love! via 3R Customs.

Converse Fall 2008 Samples

So far this year, Converse has served up some nice models and colorways, and continue to do so. Here we feature two samples which are set to release this upcoming Fall. They include the Converse All Star Low, and the Converse re-issue quick Start, which both feature a purple and blue colorway on a leather upper, as well as a yellow sole. The Converse All Star Low is now available at Denim and Sole.

Kicks and Chicks Calendar

What’s a better combo than some beautiful ladies and some tight kicks? The Kicks and Chicks Calendar is a great item for shoe collectors (mostly male probably). Sneaker junkies in Rhode Island, City All Stars and Black Flag in New Jersey, and a few other stores will carry it. There are 12 months to the calendar, starting from June of 2008. Model features include: Neetu Singh, Jessica Pineda, Stephanie Valenzuela, Emily Garcia, Tasha Hype, and other sexy models of various ethnicity. The calendar is $14.99 on the Kicks and Chicks website and only 100 will be produced (they also have some nice Nike MySpace Layouts). See some selected models after the break.

Here’s a tasty treat for Dunk Lovers, a four course meal of new models with neat links back the unofficial home of the basketball shoe’s fan club, Japan. Each refers to a landmark feature of the city they represent, using colours and materials, as well as custom inner soles.

NAGOYA DUNK
The famous Gold Dolphin is the symbol of Nagoya, and sits atop the roof of the Nagoya castle. Gold scales and mint green highlights perfectly capture this Dunk’s link to the famously fishy landmark.

Themed after the party destination Ibiza, adidas has released this latest Gazelle. The one piece upper features purple suede and pink palm tree highlights along the heel. Available now at select adidas dealers including Sold Out.

Bape x Sponge Bob T-Shirts & Bapesta

Bape continues with their Sponge Bob collaboration and will release this month new t-shirts, featuring both Baby Milo and Sponge Bob and other characters. Furthermore they will release the Sponge Bob Bapesta sneaker in a bright yellow and a cellphone strap.

Alife Rivington Club x Penfield Tech Windrunner

Windrunners are back. That we can say for certain, since a couple of months. Nike is releasing lots of them and you see them again on the street.

Alife Rivington Club has collaborated with Penfield on several jackets already, until now always on warmer down pieces for the winter. For the first time the two got together to work on a light weight summer jacket – the Tech Windrunner. It comes in a black and purple colorway with mesh lining. Also it features adjustable hem and hood, as well as a 2 zipped stash pocket. The jacket is definitely shower proof and comes with a large glossy Alife Rivington Club logo print on the front with a smaller Penfield logo on the chest.

Hanon will have them in stock in the first couple of weeks of May, so make sure to look out for these.

Kanye West at Evisu

A man with a last name but a man that doesn’t need it. Say the name Kanye and automatically images of a man with style and eloquence pops in your head. Ever-known for his inventive fashion sense and good tase, Kanye upholds his roots but knows no shame when it comes to indulging in the finer threads life has to offer. So when Kanye stopped by the Evisu showroom, it was only a matter of minutes before we were talking about denim and Evisu’s latest collection. Classic, as always.

In the photo he is wearing our red puffer vest. Look for it online at our North American or International online stores.

Insa ‘Wants and Needs’ Exhibit

Although, he only finished up his last show in Glasgow a few months ago, Insa is preparing for his next one, which will be held at Luxembourg’s Extra Bold on May 10th. The exhibit will run until June 14th.

BAPE Bapesta ‘Baby Milo’

A few days ago, Cliff Edge received these Bape Bapestas. True to the brand, the entire shoe is very bright, colourful, and shiny. Baby Milo’s head was embroidered onto the heel tab, while the words Baby Milo wrap around the entire heel.

BMW Celebrates The Classic M1 With New Concept

This weekend at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, BMW unveiled the brand spankin’ new M1 concept car. The original M1, which was released in the late ’70s, was a collabo between the German luxury manufacturer and Lamborghini. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the model’s release, BMW decided to whip up this updated version. No official word on whether or not they will actually be producing a new M1 model, but this dope concept could be a sign of things to come. See some more shots of the new M1 after the jump.

Flight Club x Mitchell and Ness Jackets

Flight Club New York worked on a collaboration with famous jersey manufacturer, Mitchell and Ness, to design a few jackets to commemorate Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge. The collabo includes the Brooklyn Bums jacket, coming in blue and black, and the Four Five jacket coming in black. The Bums jacket has a lot of details on the front and on the sleeves with a Flight Club logos and baseball graphic. However, the coolest part of the jacket is definitely on the back where if you extend your arms, you can see the entire Brooklyn bridge, resembling flying wings. Flight Club is definitely taking off with this collaboration.

With the last few years bringing multi-colored and often complex themed release in abundance, we’ve seen an apparent return to the roots of many vintage and retro models which have quickly been integrated into the lifestyle market. Puma’s almighty Clyde can be seen in black, baby blue and red full leather uppers.

Louis Vuitton “The Darjeeling Limited” Luggage Collection

We caught on a little late onto this, but nevertheless we wanted to show it to you. Louis Vuitton made a special collection of luggage for “The Darjeeling Limited” movie by Wes Anderson.

The collection consists of many Louis Vuitton long time classics, featuring a safari design on premium brown leather. Unfortunately the collection never went on sale, and was auctioned off after the movie came out.

If you are lucky you come across some pieces on eBay, but we doubt it. After the jump more images.

Bape Roadsta – Polka Dot Pack & Solid Leather Pack

Bape has released two new packs of their Roadsta model. It dropped with 4 colorways of the Polka Dot design, that we have previously already seen on their Bapesta model. We still think its a little too much and hurts the eyes a little. The Solid Color pack on the other hand looks nice. The uppers come in a mix of premium leather and perforated leather on the toe box.

Kris Van Assche S/S ‘08 High Top Sneakers

Ever since Kris Van Assche launched his own label and took over the reigns at Dior Homme, after Hedi Slimane left, we have been watching him and especially his work. Dior Homme collections still look good and also his own line is nicely developing.

Here we give you a look at his Spring/Summer 2008 high top sneakers. The sneaker comes in various metallic colorways and and also in solid white and black with patent accents. We especially like the lacing on these, it’s different from any other sneaker out there. Pics via Skeleton Legs.

Nike Dunk Japanese City Pack – Tokyo/Fukoaka/Nagoya/Osaka

Here is an interesting new pack coming from Nike Japan. It consists of overall 4 Dunks, each referring to a landmark feature of the city they represent, using colours and materials, as well as custom inner soles.

The line-up includes the Fukuaka Dunk Low paying tribute to the ancient Yamakasa festival, the gold Nagoya Dunk which stands for the dolphin that represents the city, the striped Osaka Dunk Hi representing Doutonbori (a drumming doll) and the hairy Tokyo Dunk, which represents the giant panda also known as Ling-Ling. Have fun trying to remember all the names of these.

Sneaker Freaker does not give any release dates for these. But after the jump you can have a detailed look at each shoe.

Adidas Consortium May ‘08 Releases – The Casual Series

As part of their Consortium Collection, Adidas will be releasing the Casual Series in May. The series consists of all time classics that are being brought back in classic silhouettes and with premium materials. Find in the line-up the Bamba, Samba, Tobacco, Forest Hills and Jeans. Materials include jersey, plaid, cotton tartan, corduroy and others.

It is nice seeing Adias going the other direction and applying more classic colors and materials, instead of flashy colors. Expect the Casual Series to appear in premier sneaker boutiques in the coming weeks

News From Bape – Bapesta 88 & New Watch

The new Bapesta 88 sneaker has been released this weekend. It is their first hi-top sneaker, aside from the Chuck Taylor clones, that came in previous seasons. It comes in three colorways and with some nice details. It will be interesting to see how Bape flips the sneaker in the future.

Also Bape has released a new watch. For once its not a Rolex clone and also not a Casio G-Shock collaboration, nevertheless a nice summer watch with cotton strap and an overall pretty simple look.

Inside The Opening Of BAPE’s First L.A. Store

The sign on the building said “Go Ape,” and that’s exactly what the city of West Hollywood did last night (April 23) at the Grand Opening of A Bathing Ape’s first West Coast retail location. The Japanese streetwear store, which opens to the public tomorrow (April 25), was host to some of the biggest names in hip-hop yesterday with Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Rick Ross and Jermaine Dupri all stopping by. But it wasn’t just a night for rap, as the event was also highlighted by the appearances of Tennis star Serena Williams, actress Dania Ramirez (X-Men 3, Heroes), actor Jonah Hill, rocker Pete Wentz, soon-to-be drafted NBA player Kevin Love (UCLA) and even Iron Mike Tyson. Kanye West & Lil Wayne Team Up For Summer Jam

New Yorkers, the wait is over, and it looks like Hot 97’s Summer Jam might actually be interesting this year. The station announced this afternoon that Kanye West and Lil Wayne will be taking center stage as co-headliners. This year’s concert will take place at Giants Stadium on June 1st, so grab your tickets at Ticket Master now. Ridin’ Dirty With The UNO

18 year-old Ben J. Poss Gulak, created this UNO, a one-off mobile marvel that’s like a unicycle on steroids. Although the name suggests a singular wheeled structure, the next-level transport machine actually features two wheels set up side-by-side. The design concept may have been intricate for Gulak to pull off, but the controls of the bike are as simple as they come. The engine starts up with a simple flick of an on/off switch and the direction of travel depends on which way the rider is leaning. There’s no mention on what speed the bike can achieve but the homie in the pic has a helmet on, so it must be pretty speedy. Safety first, check more flicks of moto after the jump.

Nike Air Yeezy Breakdown

There has been much activity on the web surrounding any news about the Nike Air Yeezy – the shoe that Kanye West wore at the Grammy’s and since on his Glow In The Dark Tour. One of our readers put together a photo breakdown showing likely inspiration sources for the Nike Air Yeezy taking into consideration Kanye’s taste in sneakers. Not ironic at all, all of the elements listed are sneakers that Kanye has frequently been spotted in. Bape Store Los Angeles Preview

With the opening date, April 25th, getting closer and closer, it looks like Bape Store LA is making some progress. Here we show you some teaser pictures of the upcoming store. It seems that the store will be similar in style to the many other Bape stores around the world including their signature Bape camo print in neon lights, the big “Go Ape” sign in the front, and a wall covered with the blue camouflage print. You can also see the conveyor belt around the curved glass wall that usually carries their shoes. This store will definitely be another great addition to the Melrose shopping scene.

The upper is made up of black and white leather as well as woven tweed. The swoosh is transparent and on the heel the sneaker features a house embroidered.
