Crooks & Castles 2008 Spring Illuminati Collection

Here we’re showing you Crooks & Castles’ 2008 Spring Collection that have just dropped in their flagship store on Melrose. The collection includes tees, camouflage parkas, hoodies, and leather jackets that all come in a fairly darker color scheme. Many of the pieces include Medusa, the Greek mythology character who could turn anyone gazing upon her into stone. However, the folks at Crooks & Castles definitely add their own style to Medusa, with snakes covering, not only her head, but also her mouth like a bandit. All tees currently available with cut and sew expected to drop April 12th.

Puma x Yo! MTV Raps 2008 - First Round/Suede Patent/RS-100

After first releasing two Yo! MTV Raps collections last year, Puma continues to push the theme. Here is a first look at the upcoming styles. The latest pack consists of a First Round, Suede Patent and the RS-100.

Both the Suede Patent and the RS-100 come in special colors and materials, while not going too crazy. The First Round is definitely very special and will be the kind of sneaker that you love or hate.

The pack will be released on the 15th of April. Check out all three in detail after the jump.

Evisu Denim Special Products - Zippo/Helmet/Teddy Bear

We just came across some very special product from Evisu. The Japanese denim company released a Zippo, Teddy Bears and a Helmet. All three pieces come of course covered in denim with lots of nice details. The helmet is a collaboration with Acejet and the lighter with Zippo.

All three are now available in several colorways at Ripe. Check out some more pictures after the jump.

Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami - Monogramouflage

Over at WWD we came across some interesting information about the opening of the Takashi Murakami exhibition that we previewed here already. Aside from presenting a new Monogramouflage pattern developed by the artist, the message behind the pattern is also quite special.

“Tonight, Vuitton is celebrating Takashi Murakami’s “© Murakami” exhibition with a “Brooklyn Ball” at the Brooklyn Museum featuring a special performance by Kanye West, the unveiling of a new camouflage print developed by Murakami and Marc Jacobs called Monogramouflage and a special installation designed to bring attention to one of the industry’s biggest travails — counterfeits.

But rather than simply hand out leaflets to alert guests about the importance of protecting original designs, the French luxury goods house will be taking a novel, somewhat intriguing route. Outside the museum, Vuitton is setting up 10 New York-style street vendors — not to sell fakes, but rather authentic Louis Vuitton product and special Monogramouflage canvases that Murakami has created specifically for the exhibition.”

If you can make it out there and get one of those Monogramouflage canvas, you can be sure it’s a good investment! Hopefully they will be using the pattern on leather goods as well.

Nike AF1 “Rainbow” Pack

We present you the Nike AF1 “Rainbow” Pack. We labeled it that way, because it reminds us of the recent Freestyle Rainbow pack by Reebok.

The Air Force 1’s come in three colorways and all panels of the shoes come in the same colorway, including the soles and laces. Hopefully they add some more colors to the line-up. These are now available at Provider.

Lacoste 75th Anniversary Sneakers

Lacoste is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. We already showed you the special poloshirts that were released for the occasion. In fact they made an entire collection and we give you a look at the 75th anniversary sneakers. All in all they present two sneakers in the collection. They come in a black/white colorway and have an overall classic look.

New Alife Spring ‘08 T-Shirts

Alife NYC has released a large batch of new Spring 2008 t-shirts. This drop includes some classics in new colorways, one long-sleeve and also several Krink collaboration t-shirts. All in all as usual strong graphics that are on point.

Bape x Tatami Sandals

Not for the first time Bape gets together with Tatami to work on a series of sandals. Tatami is the Japanese sub brand by Birkenstock. The healthy sandal can always use a make-over in terms of design. Bape created 4 colorways, each coming with the Bape star camo pattern. They will be released on the 27th of April at Bapexclusive and at Bape Stores.

Also keep in mind, that the Stussy x Tatami sandals will also be releasing later this month

Puma Unlimited Hi & Lo “Limited Edition”

The Puma Unlimited Hi & Lo’s were first introduced in 1991. Now Mita Sneakers got in two limited edition packs of this classic. They gave them an upscale make-over adding vibrant colors as well as croc skin to the sneakers. Both sneakers come in three colorways and will be available as of April 21rst.

Bape LA Store Opening April ‘08

The Bape Los Angeles store has been long announced and forever in the making. At one point we already thought it was never going to happen. Well, now it has been confirmed. The new Bape Los Angeles store will open its doors on April 23rd on Melrose! Mark it in your calendars!
