Maison Martin Margiela L’Incognito Sunglasses

In a first for high profile fashion house Maison Martin Margiela, the brand has released their first pair of eyewear in the form of the L’Incognito Sunglasses. In a page out of Geordi LaForge and Star Trek: The Next Generation with the visor steez, the sunglasses feature a large wrap-around frame-less build. Aside from the style seen here, other colorways are also available.

Nike Airstab Premium | Runnin’ Gunnin’

Nike has released an interesting new Airstab Premium Quickstrike. It comes in a black/magenta colorway. The sneaker features black elephant print, black mesh, pink sidepanels and also the backheel has been sprinkled with pink. The backheel hasthe “Runnin’ Gunnin’” embroidery. Further graphic detailed can be found on the clear outer sole.

The Nike Airstab Premium Quickstrike can be found now at Major DC. They will also be receiving matching t-shirts in the coming days.

Painted Feet

One of the more interesting footwear related articles of the last month or so came from New York Magazine . Basically, the piece covers the basics about why shoes are actually not all that good for you, and highlights the few companies that are working toward achieving a bare foot feel.

Aside from the content, another highlight of the article comes in the form of the painted foot photographs. With the power of paint, feet were transformed into an Adidas gazelle, a handsome wingtip and a high heel. Thanks to Lunatica Desnuda, the artists responsible for the feet are now known. New York based Tempu Paints, specialists in body art and temporary tattoos, did the fine work.

Jordan PHLY Low

With the Jordan PHLY, Jordan brand entered the lifestyle segment this year. Before the athletic shoes made it into the lifestyle sector, but the PHLY was fully intended and placed in that market segment right from the start. Decapitator Strikes Again – Sex and the City Billboard

Famous London street artist, the Decapitator, is on the move again. The Decapitator is known for removing the heads of people in various advertisements including newspapers and billboards. And it seems that this time Sarah Jessica Parker falls victim to the Decapitator’s signature murdering style, as she poses headless on a Sex and the City billboard on the streets of London.

Kanye West: Flashing Lights Video – New Version

Kanye West’s original Flashing Lights video which was co-directed by Spide Jonze along with Kanye himself, could be considered one of Kanye’s most controversial music video. In it, Kanye is driven off into the desert by a women who bludgeons West to death for supposedly cheating on his girl and being caught by the paparazzi’s “flashing lights”. Here is a look at a new video for Flashing Lights which is much less violent but still portrays the essence of “Flashing Lights”. In this video, you follow a girl (presumably a model) and her glitz and glamorous lifestyle which ends in nothing but tragedy.

adidas Snakeskin Concord High | Gaffa Decade High

Here’s a look into adidas’ upcoming collection of footwear for later this year involving some of their most prized hardwood models the Concord High and Decade High. The Concord High features an eerily realistic rendition of snakeskin with beige highlights. The Decade High on the other hand utilizes an unconventional inspiration in Gaffer tape/duct tape to create the silver upper. The only known approximate release date is October for the snakeskin Concord Highs.

Jordan Brand 2008 June Releases – AJF5

Jordan Brand continues into June with another AJF5 release. Bringing together both the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan V, the two highly respected models in their own right have brought mixed reactions from your usual crowd of sneaker connoisseurs; Perhaps more so the first few colorways more so the concept itself. This June 10th release features a USA-esque colorway with white, red and blue with the use of patent leather and perforated leather.

Milkfed x Nike Womens Air Rift

Nike has teamed up with the Japanese womens’ fashion brand Milkfed to create this eye catching pair of the Air Rifts. Milkfed’s “cutey” style can be seen in these lightweight sneakers as they have decided to sprinkle the shoe with a silver metallic material making it nice and girly. We present you a new brand from New York City, Twon, and most of their designs are also not hiding  it. Currently their collection consists of a line-up of t-shirts. Their products have recently been picked up by Reed Space, Union NYC, Union LA, Memes, Premium Goods, Essense, Shoe Gallery, All the Right, and a few other retailers.

Nike Fall ‘08 AJF3

After presenting a successful line-up of fusion models between the Air Force 1 and the Jordan V, Nike will be introducing this Fall season the AJF3, the fusion version of the Air Force 1 and the Jordan III.

Just last week we first announced the Puma Pack in collaboration with UK sneaker customizer Rob L. Today we can show you the full pack which also consists of matching t-shirts for both sneakers.

Supra Tuf Collection

Supra introduced after their regular collection first the NS (non skate) range, which consisted of shoes featuring premium materials and design.

The next sub-label to hit the market is the Supra Tuf Collection. The Supra Tuf collection, which consists of high performance skate shoes. The entire range features abrasion resistant materials on the uppers and they are also rider tested. It will be interesting to see how Supra fuses style and function in the new Tuf range.

Expect the Supra Tuf collection to hit retailers beginning of June.

New Bapesta “Milo Characters”

Here we present you the latest Bapesta by A Bathing Ape. It comes in all white and features several Bape characters on the star logo. Otherwise they kept it nice and clean for the summer!

A.R.C. x Lacoste Collection – Polo Shirts

LACOSTE has teamed up with New York’s Alife Rivington Club (A.R.C.) for a limited edition capsule collection of polos and tennis shoes. Images have been circulating for a while already, but now we can give you an exclusive and complete first look at this fascinating upcoming collaboration project. The world famous rare sneaker resource located on the Lower East Side at 158 Rivington Street was opened in 2001 by the ALIFE design studio.

‘The Rivington Club is committed to brands that have a true athletic history’, says Arnaud Delecolle, ALIFE co-founder. ‘A.R.C.’s aesthetic involves classic sports imagery, heritage and tradition. This translates into bold color statements with highly visible and recognizable graphics. When given the opportunity to work on the classic LACOSTE polo shirt, we decided to apply this aesthetic to the garments. We stayed in line with our shop’s colour theme of black, red and purple and decided to increase the scale of the crocodile logo to a truly utilitarian size. The concept being if these shirts were worn on the field, all the graphic elements would serve their purpose of conveying information from a distance.’

A.R.C. also changed some of the shirt’s construction elements to reflect the sturdiness required on rugby jerseys, including the collar and placket system as well as the inside tape on the collars and side vents. There are two polos in two colours each: one features the red A.R.C logo opposing the crocodile on white and black/grey polos, while the other has the gold Rivington Club crest embroidered on the left breast on both red and black polos. All have the number 158 sewn on the back, a nod to their Rivington Street address.

For footwear, A.R.C. stayed with the sports uniform theme to tie in to the polo shirts. They proposed the Ardeur tennis shoe, which was the original LACOSTE performance tennis shoe dating from 1983, in solid colours of white, black, purple and red with the bold A.R.C. logo brandished on the heel. The uppers are tone-on-tone leather with piqué mesh side panels, while the authentic polyurethane mid and outsole provide cushioned comfort. The shoes incorporate A.R.C.’s signature red/black bias striped pattern on the tongue with a white LACOSTE logo, while the leather in-sole features a black/white print and A.R.C. logo.

Once again A.R.C. presents an impressive collaborative project and they managed to infuse their style and philosophy into Lacoste product, without the product loosing its very own Lacoste style and history.

The A.R.C. x Lacoste collection will be released in July at Rivington Club, Barney’s in NYC, Colette, Dover Street Market, 10 Corso Como and select Lacoste doors.

A.R.C. worked on 4 colorways of the Ardeur tennis shoe and matching 4 polo shirts. We present you the complete line-up after the jump.

Bape Bapesta ‘Silver’ & ‘Gold’

Bape released two very blinged-out Bapestas. The silver colourway comes only in women’s sizes, while the gold is available in only men’s. They both are very shiny and feature a clear, glittery sole. They have just arrived at Bobosshop.

Air Jordan 1 Armed Forces Pack

The Air Jordan 1 Armed Forces pack will be releasing this upcoming Saturday May 24th. Two different colorways (one in a walnut and the other in a medium brown) will be releasing in this pack that commemorates Michael Jordan’s brother’s service in the US Military. Both of these Quickstrike releases will be available at all 3 Southern California BLENDS locations.

Ladainian “LT” Tomlinson x Nike Innovative Kitchen Air Force 1

What better way to pay tribute to one of the greatest running backs of our generation who just happens to love Nike Air Force 1s? The ultra exclusive Innovative Kitchen in Beaverton put together an Air Force 1 like no other for Chargers’ all-star running back Ladainian “LT” Tomlinson. Going the distance, the AF1 is packaged with a crazy sliding box with many intricate details seen on the metallic upper. Extensive lasering can be seen throughout. With anything of this nature, don’t expect to ever see more then the sole pair made for LT.
