Most impressed so far, we are with their new Elite Ceramic Collection for Fall 2009. Entirely Swiss Made, they present the 51-30 divers watch and the Player model with complete ceramic cases. The 51-30 comes in two sizes in all white, featuring a ceramic bezel and strap. The Player comes in black and in white with the watch case and strap coming in ceramic. The Nike Air Hoop Structure’s newest colorway that will be released in the upcoming months is this White, Hot Red, and Black colorway that has a strong resemblance to the original Air Jordan VI in White and Infared.

Just when you think you’ve seen all they can do with the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star, we get something like this. They’re pretty much the exact opposite of all the other Chucks we’ve seen, yet they’re very clearly still Chucks. The Converse Moonwalk puts everything on the front of most All Stars on the back of these, and vice versa. It looks like you’ll have to lace these up from behind, but maybe they’re just held together with elastics. We don’t know that for sure, but do know you can get yours this week from A.R.C.

Givenchy offer up a preview of their new collection of footwear and accessories for next year’s Spring/Summer season. The brand’s accessories range receives some of the same flamboyant treatment although a bit more toned down when it comes to their standout bag designs. Lisez la suite de cette entrée »

On Monday we attended the official launch of the new Absolut Vodka Rock Edition launch. Absolut worked with designer Natalia Brilli, who is known for wrapping things in leather. This time she of course wrapped the iconic Absolut bottle in leather and added studs to it as well, giving it a real rock vibe.
For the occasion Absolut organized a massive launch event in Berlin. The free drinks of course helped. Natalia Brillis leather instruments were on display, along with artist guitars and more. For music that evening they had Wolfmother, Smith & Drums and DJ Alex come in.

French designer Romain Kremer brought his risk taking design aesthetic to the table in a collaborative effort with German eyewear label Mykita. “The ROMAIN frame is cut out of 0.5 mm stainless steel and features metal shutters. The design borrows cues from traditional Inuit eyewear, which was designed solely to provide protection from dazzling sunlight and did not have conventional lenses. The very graphic and square-edged frame is inspired by the collection’s leitmotiv of protection and is reminiscent of war face paint.” Two colorways will be available this November.

Moncler continues to impress. Their new Gamme Bleu range with Thom Browne is among the best that has come from them and in our opinion some of the best outerwear this season. The combination of the designers sharp styles and the quality of the brand are a perfect match. Our favorite pieces include the puffy bomber jacket and the puffy camouflage blazer. Several new pieces arrived today at colette.

Today we came across the very impressive portfolio of illustrator Michael Sanderson. The 23 year old is working with Taiko & Associates in Japan and has already a very impressive client list under his belt. The mix of illustration and sharp branding in his pieces is especially interesting and intriguing. So far he has worked with both small NYC boutiques and fashion heavy wheigts such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton. He is definitely one to keep an eye on in the future
