Air Jordan VI (6) Retro – White – Black – March 2010

As you probably already know, 2010 will be a big year for the Air Jordan VI thanks to numerous colorways scheduled for release. We have already previewed some sure-fire heat like the Black/Redand White/Red OG versions (minus the Infrared), as well as some new looks like the “Pistons” version and of course, the Doernbecher edition. Back in June, Osneaker gave us a great sneak peek at this upcoming Air Jordan VI colorway, and now we get another look that lets us see some more angles and details. As you can see, this AJ VI sports a combination of White leather and Black suede on the upper, with an added stylish touch provided by some White speckles on the midsole, heel tab and lace locks, and a clear outsole as the clincher. Obviously, the OG Retro colorways will get much of the attention come next year, but this offering has a good shot to be warmly embraced thanks to the clean color scheme and the resemblance to the highly sought-after Motorsports edition of the Air Jordan VI. Air Jordan 6 Retro Doernbecher

Upon first showing you photos of the Air Jordan 6 Retro Doernbecher, the comment section was filled with both positive and negative remarks on this sneaker. If you are the one of those interested in this sneaker, we have now spotted it at Nike’s online store thanks to Daily Drop.

Obviously, this particular sneaker, along with the rest of the Doernbecher releases, was designed to raise awareness and funding for the Doernbecher Children’s hospital. As stated earlier, you can now purchase this Air Jordan 6 Retro at Nike’s online store for $165.

Update: Obviously, Nike has made the Air Jordan 6 Retro Doernbecher unavailable for purchase now. However, we will notify you once it is made available again.

Nike Holiday 2009 Air Flytop Premium

The high top Nike Air Flytop Premium has dropped from the Holiday 2009 Collection. The sneaker comes in classic black and white colors and features premium leathers on the upper, as well as a leather lining, making these two classic and solid releases. Both are now available from Caliroots.

 

Mishka Holiday 2009 Pants Line-Up

For the holiday season, Mishka is offering three different styles of pants appropriate for the changing elements of winter. First up is the Alexei Japanese Selvage Denim in indigo, black, grey and brown; followed by the tex-twill Chambray blend Scout Work Pant, and last but not least; the Dmitri Wool Slacks in a slender, 12 ounce wool blend (pictured above). We know the magenta tab is a but much for some, but Mishka makes a good pant. Try ‘em on if you have a chance.

One of the pleasant surprises of the year has been Keds/PRO-Ked’s re-emergence in the footwear scene with well-received capsules alongside the likes of Opening Ceremony, Solebox, Patta, and Bobbito Garcia.

KRINK x Mini Cooper S

New York artist KR will be participating in an exhibition at the Vicious Gallery in Hamburg starting on Halloween, October 31st, 2009. The event will feature a number of works alongside a piece involving the painting of a Cooper Mini in what we can anticipate to be KR’s iconic drips motif.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1

Amsterdam boutique, Patta celebrates their 5th anniversary this year, and to celebrate they have once again teamed up with Nike to release a sneaker. This time around, they chose the Air Max 1, and gave it a premium upper featuring mesh, leather, and what appears to be canvas. So far no news has been released as to availability and quantity. Stay tuned.

Reebok – Still Talkin

The Reebok Still Talkin is an interesting shoe. The performance basketball shoe is designed with a dry erase upper and packaged with a marker for jotting your favorite quotes along the all white upper. The shoe is making its return this year with a better ventilation system and a modest price tag. Find em at Champs if you are interested. Via SoleCollector

Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks

They didn’t call the man Air Jordan for no reason. Taking a scientific name for clouds that are visible at high altitudes, the Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks pack pays tribute to some of Michael’s most popular sneakers ever.

Going above and beyond just branding a sock and putting it in the appropriate colors, JB uses label specific to each shoe. For instance, the XI sock uses the signature sideways text, and the VI uses a label modeled after the lace lock. Other shoes include the XII “Taxi” and “Nubuck” and the XI “Concord” and “Space Jam,” among others. The II sock even gets the old school “wings” logo and the XII gets the heel logo form the “Taxi’s”. The socks, which will release sometime next year, even come in a special shoe box package covered in clouds.

DC Life Spring 2010 Ensign

We already showed you the new Admiral from the DC Life Collection and the high top sneaker was very well received. Another highlight in the upcoming collection is the low top Ensign. The sneaker features multi technical paneling, premium panache boot style leather, engineered laser perforation and an adjustable suede strap. For Spring 2010 the sneaker comes in two colorways.

Altamont Apparel Holiday 2009 Jackets

Altamont offers a look into some of their Holiday 2009 jackets. Styles range from a perforated hooded jacket with fleece lining to a cotton coated water-resistant twill heavyweight insulated military parka, and a twill military hooded jacket with custom printed lining. Each piece features an Altamont trim package.

Levi’s x KRINK Collection

Levi’s Japan worked with KRINK on a capsule collection. The collection spans over denim, denim jackets, a hoodie, as well as a couple of t-shirts. The collection will be launched at Cinch Toyko on November 14th along with a special installation by Craig Costello aka KR.

A Bathing Ape Jacquard Camo Bag Collection

A Bathing Ape has just dropped a new collection of subtlety branded bags under their Jacquard Camo theme. Encompassing a variety of different formats, the bag’s print is a tonal replication of the brand’s signature Bapehead camo. Each bag style comes in both black and a light tan version. Effector Eyewear

Following up a brief preview, Effector Eyewear unveil their full collection alongside English company Lewis Leathers. The lineup consists of four different eyeglass/sunglasses options, including their Aviakit, Bud Ganz, Double Zero and Highwayman. All are now available through select Japanese optical retailers, including Cradle.

Natalia Brilli – Leather watch

Acclaimed for her leather-bound creations, Natalia Brilli develops her trademark style within a new bracelet. The piece resembles a classic Rolex yet is fully wrapped in Black premium leather with a snap button closure. Retailing for $312, it is now available at Farfetch.

Nike Sportswear Varsity Jacket

Here we get a look at a new jacket for the coming cold months from Nike Sportswear. Their new varsity jacket features such details as a wool body, Thermacore insulation, two front pockets, chest pocket with contrasting waterproof zipper, and a hidden inside pocket with a zipper. Insa ‘Chain’ Print

To coincide with the Haters exhibit opening tonight, Insa designed a new print. Titled Chains, it will be available in three colours at the show tonight and next week online through Insa’s website. Each signed and numbered by the artist, himself.

André x Incase ‘Curated by Arkitip’ Preview

Following Krink, Parra, Steven Harrington and HunterGatherer, the next installment of Incase’s ongoing ‘Curated by Arkitip‘ project features the work of André. So far, not much has been revealed, but we can the Parisian graffiti artist’s well-known Mr. A character grace the zipper pull of a MacBook sleeve. A release date has been set to coincide with the opening of the Apple store in Paris.

How to ensure that humans take back time? Design by 8 thinks they have figured it out with their Artime concept watch. It features a grid based face plate which displays the time in scenes to the rate/rhythm of the individual.

Francoise Nielly

Françoise Nielly’s massive, colorful portraits are delicious to look at. Even more wonderful – and particularly infuriating to those of us who have timidly dabbled in painting – is to watch her create them. In a beautiful video posted on her site, she, in her confident, strong hand, wields her painting knife shaped like a miniature garden trowel, and makes painting look easy like cake frosting. She paints her vivid, passionate canvases — some as large as 78 x 25 inches (195 x 62 centimeters) — from black-and-white photos, further proof of her unfailing ability to interpret light, shadow, hue and tone by applying brilliant colors and daring strokes.

Hooked: Bless for Longchamp

Finally, a guilt-free donut. Behold the latest from the conceptual think-tank Bless, who, along with Jeremy Scott and Charles Anastase, has overhauled the classic Le Pliage canvas bag from Longchamp. The collaboration celebrates twenty years of ANDAM, the French association that promotes emerging talent around the world, most recently awarding its top prize of €160,000 to Giles Deacon. Previous winners, the brainy Bless girls have gone utilitarian, adding a beige tubular handle. But the real magic happens when you follow the intricate folding instructions, and the bag collapses into a donut-shaped bracelet. Good enough to eat! $375 at select Longchamp boutiques.

Undercover – Fall/Winter 2009 – Hi-Top Sneaker

This season Undercover sticks to its affinity for black and white but has a highly accessible and minimal modern take on its items a la Raf Simons and Jil Sander. The collection pares down in terms of adornments and design but highlights complexity instead with a mix of materials. The Hi-Top Sneaker from the latest Undercover offering sticks to the same route and incorporates interesting technical fabric for its mixed grey upper. The kicks also feature interesting lace-hoops and the overall look is slightly space age and also a little reminiscent of some Maison Martin Margiela sneakers. The sneakers and other items from the collection such as blazers and tees are now available at The Corner. For those who are looking to learn more about Jun Takahashi, the man behind Undercover, New York Time’s The Moment just released a great interview with the Undercover man.
