Sony PlayStation 3 Slim

Sony rolls out a new, much smaller, much lighter PS 3. Dubbed the PlayStation 3 Slim, the new model also eats up way less energy and contains more memory than the original. Available this September starting at $300 USD for a 120GB model. Rumor has it a 250GB is also in the pipeline. You can pre-order now from Amazon.

Limited Edition All-White Leica M8

A while ago Leica released the limited Safari Edition of their flagship M8 model. In time for summer they will be releasing the white edition of the classic beauty. So far the price and release date have not been announced yet, but apparently numbers will be extremely limited on this one, according to Luxist.

Polaroid PoGo

With the rise of the digital camera brought news that Polaroid would discontinue their highly popular cameras. Many claimed the demise of the company, but their back with the 21st century version of the Polaroid camera. It’s digital, but what’s more is that it still retains the quality that has made their earlier cameras one of the best selling types out there. In 60 seconds, the camera slides out a 2×3″, peel-off, sticky-backed photo. They will release this Spring.

HTC Diamond

With the mobile world turned upside down with the release of the iPhone, every touch-based phone since Apple’s hot seller has been dubbed the “iPod Killer” however few have lived up to the billing. Enter the newly announced HTC Diamond. Utilizing Windows Mobile 6.1, the phone features VGA Screen, quad-band HSPDA 7.2 and other iPhone-esque features. Despite initial reports that the interface is a little slow, the bugs should be worked out by the time a release date rolls around. No word yet on a stateside release date.

Turning The MacBook Air Into Gold

Custom-design squad Computer Choppers cooked up this 24 karat gold-dipped MacBook Air for the gaudy web browser. Besides the plating job, the Choppers also studded-out the Apple on the laptop with small colored sapphires—a job that’ll cost you an extra $3k. For now, the unit is a one-off that the company has to put some finishing touches on, but word has it that you’ll be able to cop this Paris Hilton dream machine for $8,000. Bape x Nintendo DS Lite Released

Yesterday Bape did not only launch their new website, they also released the much anticipated Nintendo DS Lite collaboration. For those of you living outside of Japan, you can now purchase the console at Bobos.

Chanel Cellphone

Since a couple of years now we see high end fashion houses dipping into the cellphone market. Most recently Prada and Giorgio Armani made their moves, offering phones. But, let’s face it, to date we have seen nothing groundbreaking and even if the design was alright, in terms of functionality, they were always disappointing.

Now we came across first images of a new Chanel cellphone over at Artschoolvets. The phone carries the name Chanel Choco Phone and the screen as well as keyboard are hidden. Interesting concept and something we hope to see soon. For now there is no release date set.

 

 

 

Bape x Nintento DS Lite

Just yesterday we presented to you the Honeyee x Fragment Design x Nintendo DS Lite. Today we can report about an upcoming DS Lite in collaboration with Bape. Some of the Bape Milo characters will be appearing on the portable gaming console. There will be two versions – a white one and a gold one.

The two Bape x Nintendo DS Lite’s will be released in Japan on April 1rst!

Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X1

If you’re looking for an alternative to the iPhone, Blackberry, or Sidekick, Sony Ericsson just stepped it up with its Xperia X1. The arc slider designed phone comes packed with features like a 3-inch VGA display (800 X 480), a full QWERTY keyboard, media player, FM radio, GPS, and an auto-focus 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. Taking a cue from the iPhone, their are touch screen options and sports four-way key and optical joystick navigation. The technology is powered by Windows Mobile making it fit for useful Microsoft applications like: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer. It’s available in black and silver and set for release in June.

The One Cell Phone Kanye Can’t Get His Hands On

No, not cause he can’t afford it, because it’s not real. Which is a shame too, cause Kanye really seems to like it, judging by his headline:

Unfortunately it’s still a concept, and in all likelihood, has no real chance of ever making it past the blogs. But let’s not rain on anyone’s parade. The Chanel Choco Phone was designed by Fred de Garilhe, and for you nerds curious about what makes this thing hypothetically tick, here:

It works by integrating an optical fiber system that display image between two glass parts. There are 12 micro lighter fibers, that throw image components to the glass, that offer a quite good luminosity, and keep the mobile phone concept as light as possible. All lights only appear when you open the phone, by pushing removable part on the side of it.

Although the design is clean and absolutely innovative, we’ll shamelessly admit to kind of liking it for the logo alone. Throw those double CC’s on pretty much anything and we’re buying.

The much anticipated second coming, of one of the best cell phone collaborations is here. This time LG and Prada teamed up to release a silver edition of there tremendously popular phone. The phone kept its minimalistic sleek look, but added a full touchscreen QWERTY keyboard. The phone is expected to release later this month.

TAM MP3walkman : le baladeur destiné aux femmes??

Vivienne Tam, une styliste/designeuse, vient de présenter le TAM MP3walkman. Il s’agit d’un concept de baladeur MP3, développé avec Kitman Keung, qui serait destiné aux femmes. Aucunes spécifications techniques sur ce dernier si ce n’est un design sous la forme d’un clip plutôt sympa… À suivre.
