Hotel on Rivington x DC LIFE Sneakers

Pastelle 2009 Fall Varsity Preview

With Kanye West seen in various lights thanks to a number of fashion shows in the last few weeks, here’s another preview into one of his upcoming Pastelle pieces. The classic varsity jacket falls under Yeezy’s interpretation with a nice speckled wool body and leather sleeves. Red contrast trim and diagonal slash pockets also mark the jacket’s construction. With many-fashion related launches on the way including Louis Vuitton and Nike Sportswear, look for more information to arise regarding Pastelle.

Air Jordan V “Raging Bull” Pack

The Jordan camp continues their commemoration packs into 2009 with a preview of their Raging Bull Collection. The special package will consist of two Air Jordan V renditions including a red suede colorway and contrasting Charcoal color block. Both will feature the same detailing as previous V releasing including an embroidered 23 and translucent soles. A release date is scheduled for May 2009. Stay tuned.

Nixon Blue Rubber Player

Re-inventing one of the brand’s popular trademark models the Player, Nixon looks to create a special campaign around the Rubber Player. Starting this month, the intricately molded watch features a 3-hand Japanese quartz movement, custom molded silicone case and band and diamond. The watch will also see a special release complete with collector’s kit stand and packaging. In subsequent months the watch’s color will not be known until they hit retailers. Only a select stores will get the watch in limited quantities starting on the 15th including NixonNow.com. The price is set at $170 USD.

Saucony Shadow 6000 Varsity Pack

Saucony came back onto the map not too long ago, as usual mainly due to come interesting collaborations. Since then we see some good releases from the brand every once in a while, including their new Varsity Pack. The pack consists of three colorways of the Shadow 6000, featuring white uppers with red, purple or respectively yellow accents.

The Saucony Shadow 6000 Varsity Pack is now available for pre-order at Hanon.

Yves Saint-Laurent Spring/Summer 2009 High Top Sneakers

Yves Saint-Laurent does not only present black, white and grey sneakers this season. Here we give you a look at their upcoming color pack, which consists of a yellow, green and pink sneaker. All three high top sneakers come in a mix of canvas and suede on the upper. The pink and green colorways come with white heels and the yellow colorway features a black leather heel.

Vans Vault Fall 2009 Needle LX

An interesting new model is coming with the Vans Vault Fall 2009 Collection – the Needle LX. The very minimalist silhouette comes in several premium leathers and color patterns next season. We like the play of the tonal upper with a different color of the laces and contrasting lining. Lanvin Fall/Winter 2009 Sneakers

Can Lanvin get any better? We get a first look, from Selectism, on their new Fall/Winter 2009 sneaker line-up and it is really strong once again. High top boat sneakers, velour, metallic and fleece uppers, good colors, very solid overall. In our mind Lanvin offers clearly the strongest sneaker line-up in the high end market and they continue to do so this Fall/Winter season as well.

Nike Air Jordan 1 “Prom Pack”

Jordan Brand is making sure that you can also wear your sneakers soon to some of those important events – they present the Air Jordan 1 “Prom Pack”. The Prom Pack consists of two Air Jordan 1 Low’s, coming in all white and all black, with contrasting red linings. Both look very clean and the thinner laces round the look off. Via Nicekicks.

Nooka x DDC LAB

Nooka has another interesting collaboration aligned and worked with New York label DDC Lab. The watch features DDC Lab’s silver, reflective fabric on the band of the watch with bright red stitching. The same fabric was also used on their recent New Balance collaboration. It is also equipped with Nooka’s Zot Classic Night face. Only 100 pieces are available worldwide. You can get them  at DDC Lab New York, in both their Meatpacking District and SoHo stores.

Gourmet Spring 2009 Epi Collection

We get a look at the complete Gourmet Spring 2009 Epi Collection, using french made premium epi leather on the uppers. They present two high top sneakers and a low top sneaker in different colorways. We especially like the combination of the green upper and gum sole, as well as the low top black sneaker. Via FreshnGood.

Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 2009 Baseball Jacket

Usually we are not the ones to report about Calvin Klein, but when we came across their recent ad campaign and especially the pictured fleece baseball jacket we just had to show it to you. Hands down, this is the best baseball jacket we have seen this season so far, and as you might recall, we have already seen quite a few. Very simple in terms of colors, but all the right details and easuly matchable with pretty much anything.

Louis Vuitton x Kanye West “Boat” Sneakers

With the release of the Kanye West For Louis Vuitton footweaar collection coming closer we can give you a look today at the boat sneakers. Coming with a similar base silhouette as the Don sneaker out of the collection, the main difference is on the front, where the sneaker has a clear boat shoe silhouette and tassles. The sneaker seems to be coming in all white and in grey/pink, the same colorway that we have already seen on a high top sneaker out of the collection. Images via BKRW.

UPDATE: Kanye updates us on the above styles, which seem to be earlier samples. The actual production model features shorter tassles and a lower back, definitely the right choice.

Custom Louis Vuitton Luggage For Infiniti Essence

At the Geneva Auto Show, Infiniti presented their new Essence sportscar. The beautiful car does not only impress with its design and its 600 HP hybrid engine, but also with the details. As you can imagine the tunk is pretty small and therefore Infiniti commissioned Louis Vuitton to create a custom luggage collectio, that fits perfectly into the trunk. The outcome is just perfect. Nike Air Jordan 1 & Air Jordan 1 Phat Low “Polka Dot”

Just last week we gave you a Spring/Summer 2009 preview of the Air Jordan 1 styles. Over the weekend some of them have already arrived in stores. The Air Jordan 1 and the Air Jordan 1 Phat Low come with polka dot all-over patterns.

They are now available at Proper, along with the woven Air Jordan 1 and the canvas Air Jordan 1 Strap.

Kanye West To Launch Denim Label

According to UK’s Mirror, Kanye West met up with denim brand Religion to talk about his upcoming denim label. At this point we are not sure whether that just concerns the denim for his upcoming Pastelle label, if it is a Religion collaboration or a brand by itself. Judging by the sound of the Mirror’s article, it seems like it will be a brand by itself. Kanye has definitely been wearing lots of denim and denim jackets lately, so this does not come entirely as a surprise.

Hopefully we can tell you soon more about this subject and let’s hope that one of these “labels” will also launch any time soon.

Gourmet: New Website Live

After a brief hiatus, Gourmet have returned with a newly revamped website. The design is very clean, and minimal. The entire Spring/Summer collection including all accessoriess have also been added to the site. Besides the blog, stockists, etc… the biggest addition to the site is no doubt the online shop, which has been an issue for many who have been looking to get some Gourmet of their own.

We’ve already seen several Air Jordan Is set for release this year, and it seems we can add another one to the list. This latest colourway takes inspiration from the classic Air Jordan VII ‘Hare’. These are scheduled to release April 11th.

Nike RT1 High ‘Black/Black-Varsity Red-White’ @ LTD

Nike’s all new RT1 (Revolution Trainer 1) has been getting a lot of reviews over the past few weeks with many waiting in anticipation for its release. Not baring much resemblance to the classic Nike high tops, the silhouette brings to mind more fashionable, lifestyle sneakers like the Air Yeezy and Skytop. Although the RT1 is scheduled for an early April release in the States, it has already arrived in Japan at select retailers including LTD.

Kanye West in Complex’s April Issue + Air Yeezy Feature

Earlier today, Complex revealed the cover of their April issues, which stars Kanye. They also provided an online feature on the Air Yeezy, giving us a behind the scenes look at how the shoe came to be with Mark Smith and Kanye providing the information. Here we get a look at the 3M pair of Jordan Vs from the Raging Bull Pack. Besides this colourway, the pack also consists of a red nubuck Jordan V. These are supposedly scheduled to release in May.

Air Jordan V ‘White/Dark Army’

It seems the Jordan V is making a big comeback this year. Besides the Raging Bull pack we mentioned yesterday, Jordan will also be releasing a ‘White/Dark Army’ colourway that features a patent upper. No word yet on an official release date, but you can get them now at marqueesole.

Supra Skytop “Stubb’s”

Supra teamed up with Spin magazine and Stubb’s Bar-B-Q restaurant to create a limited edition Skytop to commemorate the upcomging SXSW music festival. The shoes come in a wooden box, each individually numbered and features the SXSW seal branded onto it. The contents of the box includes not only the shoes but an apron featuring the same SXSW seal, and also a bottle of Stubb’s sauce, which inspired the brown colourway of the shoes. Although a total of 100 pairs were made, only 50 will go on sale this Friday exclusively at Stubb’s in Austin, Texas from 10am-11am.

Kanye West for Louis Vuitton Prices Confirmed!

Since word broke a few months ago about a sneaker project done by Kanye West and Louis Vuitton info was scarce and kept under wraps. Photos finally surfaced of (most) of the lineup recently, but pricing has still been a bit of a mystery and a guessing game – until now. Late last night, a Nice Kicks reader sent us information about the upcoming Kanye Westx Louis Vuitton shoes including the prices and the names of each model. The men’s collection consists of three models, the Louis Vuitton Don’s (most likely named after Ye, but also could be a shout to Don C, his manager), Jasper’s (named after Kanye’s barber), and the Mr. Hudson’s (named after the GOOD Music artist and 808 collaborator of the same name). Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Premium Laces

Having already seen various interpretations from Nike’s Bespoke program, we now get a look at a pair or Nike Air Force 1’s done up by Pete from New York’s Premium Laces. The kicks are highlighted by the almighty elephant print along with clear soles, 3M paneling, and patent leather swoosh. Topped off with “Sky” lace locks representing his daughter and you’ve got a winner.
