Yesterday, Mr. West was seen stopping by the GAP headquarters here in New York before his batshit awesome final Glow In The Dark concert at Madison Square Garden. We’re guessing he’s not picking up a new wardrobe—although he’s made it clear in numerous interviews that he fucks with Gap white tees on the regular. Could this mean that a GAP collaboration clothing line is coming down the pike?
These days, it seems like every designer and company wants to get down with ’Ye. But with a slew of collabos already in the works, it seems unlikely that all of them will see the light of day. To help separate hype from reality, we compiled Kanye’s top rumored collaborations and tried to predict the likelihood of an actual release.
It seems every other day we get a behind the scenes glimpse of this green screen footage. We already got to see Pusha’s footage of him running through his verse on the set now we get to see a sneak peak of Yeezy and P. These sneak peaks are good and everything but this better be the best video ever after all the pre-game hype. Word is the official video is dropping this week (thank God) and we’ll have that up as soon as it comes out. But for now just gawk and Kanye’s snakes skin baseball jacket.
The time has come. After tons of appearances on Kanye West’s feet, we can finally show you some good images of the Nike Air Yeezy.
“The Air Yeezy is inspired by Kanye’s love for high top designer shoes, drafting from the collar molding seen in the Air Jordan V and featuring a thin midfoot strap hardly meant for support. While originally conceptualized atop a Dunk midsole, the final version of the Yeezy features the familiar shared tooling from the Jordan III and Air Revolution, which most recently was also featured on Jordan Brand’s Spiz’ike and a lesser known model that deservedly flew under the radar, the Flight 48. It’s also the bulkiness of the shoe’s tongue that stands out most, with West always opting to pop the tongue and leave the waxed laces loosely tied. An ode to his tour, the model’s outsole also actually glows in the dark, as similar to a common glow stick, if the shoe is held near light, the familiar green glowing hue will radiate afterwards out from under the shoe. This black/glow colorway features a ridiculously high quality full grain leather along the heel quarter, with rich suede making up the toe and midfoot overlays and patent leather highlighting the dominant midfoot strap.” Via Solecollector.

Kanye West has once again proved that his moniker “The Louis Vuitton Don” is not just empty bravado. On his blog, Kanye has unveiled his one of one (none before it and none to come) custom made, extra large, extra luxurious Louis Vuitton backpack. The backpack features Louis Vuitton’s signature Damier Canvas print with light brown leather trim and it took a year and a half to make. However, don’t look for this to be in stores anytime soon but expect the manufacture of fakes to go through the roof.

As the anticipation and hoopla builds, Nike has yet to release any concrete information regarding the Air Yeezy model, spotted numerous times on Mr.West. We get a closer look at the Black/Grey colorway sporting a leather and suede combination, which is believed to be just a sample. Until further news comes along, the Air Yeezy may still just be exclusive to the Louis Vuitton Don.

As a spectator of the recent Fashion Week in Paris, Kanye West quietly mixed in select pieces from his upcoming collection Pastelle. Among the pieces is this hoodie seen here which should be an interesting look into what sort of direction Pastelle will take. Kanye West has become somewhat of a model for combining various parts of the fashion spectrum together into a package admired by many.

If you’re a Kanye fan, Louis Vuitton fan, or both, then we’ve got some great news for you. While in Paris’ Jardins de Bagatelle, Kanye teased the fashion world by announcing his collaboration on a men’s shoes line with Louis Vuitton as he says, “I’m here for Louis.” No words on the release yet, but it’s good to start saving up because this will be a collaboration for the ages.

Nooka made 15 glow-in-the-dark watches exclusively for Kanye West’s Glow In The Dark Tour. Most of these watches went to him directly and for now it looks like they will not be going on sale at all. We will keep you posted, should they be released!
On August 31, 2008 Nike is staging the largest running event of all time. 25 cities. 25 10k events. London, Los Angeles, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai and Vancouver are among the cities participating.
The event is aiming to pull in a large sum of money for participating charities, including the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the UN Refugee Agency. Runners will be able to race for a cause, as well as say they were part of the worlds largest running event. To get in the mix, log on to nikeplus.com where you can register and also get training tips.
As an extra incentive each of the 25 cities will be treated to a special concert at the race finish site. In LA, Kanye will be hitting the Colieseum. One can only imagine he’ll be sporting a special mock up of his signature shoe. Moby will take Wembley Stadium in London. Fall Out Boy will be in Chicago and Kelly Rowland in Paris (guess she is actually popular somewhere). An excellent event, and one that will surely connect legions of dedicated runners around the world.
Today we also came across the Kanye UniverCity Jacket, a varsity style jacket. It comes with a purple body, white leather sleeves and features just like any other classic varsity jacket the felt letters on the front and unlike most other varsity jackets, Murakami graphics on the back.
At this point we are not sure if this is already an early piece of Kanye’s Pastelle collection or a one-off. Pics via Don C.

For all the dedicated readers out there, I’m sure you’ve been very updated on the Air Yeezy with all the sneak peeks that we’ve shown. But of course, as with all things Kanye related, it is never enough so we’re showing you another good shot of the famed, ultra exclusive shoes. Lots of images continue to circulate the Internet about the mysterious Nike x Kanye West Air Yeezy. Now we came across the new tan colorway, which is definitely one of the nicest that we have seen so far. Via CtotheJL/The Shoe Game.

The Air Yeezy saga continues with another colorway popping up. While the anatomy of the shoe has been thoroughly dissected and shown, still no concrete info is known regarding the sneakers release or availability. The Kanye West signature sneaker is shown here in what appears to be an off-white pearl colorway. Stay tuned for more details.

Kanye West’s original Flashing Lights video which was co-directed by Spide Jonze along with Kanye himself, could be considered one of Kanye’s most controversial music video. In it, Kanye is driven off into the desert by a women who bludgeons West to death for supposedly cheating on his girl and being caught by the paparazzi’s “flashing lights”. Here is a look at a new video for Flashing Lights which is much less violent but still portrays the essence of “Flashing Lights”. In this video, you follow a girl (presumably a model) and her glitz and glamorous lifestyle which ends in nothing but tragedy.
After rocking MSG the night before Kanye West performed for a smaller gathering of the who’s who of the sneaker and streetwear industry at the Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary. Of course Sneaker News was more interested in what Kanye had on his feet, sadly enough he was not wearing his Nike Yeezys instead he had on a pair of Christian Dior super high top sneakers (Thanks Sneaker John for the catch). In addition to his taste for super high top sneakers, he was surrounded by topless dancers for a good part of the performance.

Kanye makes an admirable effort to pretend it’s hot.
With impatience many are waiting to see the first collection of Kanye Wests upcoming clothing line, Pastelle. Now word got out that Ksubi from Australia, will be working on a sunglass collection for Pastelle.
“The 10-time Grammy winner will launch Ksubi for Pastelle globally in October. The range, designed by George Gorrow, will feature limited-edition gold frames, which will sell for about $2000. Japanese buyers have already placed orders, sight unseen.
West first worked with Gorrow and his business partner Dan Single in 2006 to create stage eyewear for West’s music video clips.” Via SMH/Nitrolicious.
Something to be looking out for! One thing is for sure, Kanye West knows exactly who to work with and only goes for the best.
It seems that one of the most exclusive and highly anticipated sneakers, the Nike Air Yeezy, has just been spotted in a new colorway. The colorway is mainly white with gray/silver accents on the front toe and ankle and a light blue band across the middle. There is still no information on availability or release date.
A man with a last name but a man that doesn’t need it. Say the name Kanye and automatically images of a man with style and eloquence pops in your head. Ever-known for his inventive fashion sense and good tase, Kanye upholds his roots but knows no shame when it comes to indulging in the finer threads life has to offer. So when Kanye stopped by the Evisu showroom, it was only a matter of minutes before we were talking about denim and Evisu’s latest collection. Classic, as always.

New Yorkers, the wait is over, and it looks like Hot 97’s Summer Jam might actually be interesting this year. The station announced this afternoon that Kanye West and Lil Wayne will be taking center stage as co-headliners. This year’s concert will take place at Giants Stadium on June 1st, so grab your tickets at Ticket Master now. Just yesterday we gave you the first full look at the upcoming Nike Air Yeezy, a collaboration with artist Kanye West. Today we came across another picture that reveals the glow-in-the-dark feature of the shoe. Both the Swoosh and the sole of the sneaker have it.
Considering that Kanye West is right now in the middle of his Glow-In-The-Dark Tour, this of course makes sense.
We still do not know when it will be released, but will of course keep you posted!
Here is a pic of a new colourway of the sneakers Kanye initially wore at the Grammys. Until now, no detailed images were available, but finally we an image surfaced showing the sneaker up close. Some sources have stated that these will release this summer.

In what amounted to a ridiculous amount of press over Kanye West’s Nikes worn at the Grammys, Kanye West was spotted wearing a new colorway of his fabled Nikes on his Glow in the Dark Tour. Straight from Kanye’s mouth has slated they will see a retail roll out but no word yet on a date.
