Nike Court Force Basic Low - Air Max 97 Inspired

It was only last month that news of an Air Max inspired package consisting of Nike Court Force Highs and Lows broke out. Here is a follow up to the original post and pictured above is the Air Max 97 Court Force Basic Low. Much like the Air Max 97’s most memorable color-way, it uses the same Metallic Silver and Red color-way as well a metallic cloth at the toe box and upper heal of the shoe. Now available at 1st Sneaker.

Teal Zebra Customs

zebra1.jpg

A new pair of Nike customs were posted on Nike Talk that created a mixed reaction in my mind. The designer took a simple pair of Nikes and added teal and silver paint to create a flashier shoe. I like the zebra pattern that the designer wrapped around the toes but I dislike the teal paint. I think that the silver paint would have worked with a drabber color but it stands out for the wrong reasons when placed next to teal stripes.

I think the designer needed to go all the way in one direction or another with the Teal Zebras. A bright blue or green swish applied to the Nikes would have worked well with the teal stripes. If the designer was married to the silver swoosh, cardinal red or navy blue paint would have created a uniform pattern without any element standing out. It is important to design custom shoes by keeping in mind that incompatible elements that look great on their own make for a poor final product.

JB Classics 2008 Spring Collection Part 1

jb-classics-08-spring-6.jpg
Since 2001, JB Classics Premium line has grown drastically over worldwide markets. However, with that growth many fans have found a hard time securing their favorite pairs. For Spring 2008, JB Classics introduces their 2nd line the Prime Label which offers wider distribution and more economical price points, yet with the same overall attention to detail. The debut Prime Labels collection consists of the Thorns Sub-40, Getlo-Lo Crescent-Onyx and Getlo-Mid Sapphire. The latest Premium Label lineup (limited to 480 pairs each and individually numbered) includes the White-Tie SDM-Hi, Clashes Peddler and Foolsmate Rover Peddler. Each line will have its own separate packaging identity and placement. Available Spring 2008 at select JB Classics dealers.

New to Bape’s collection of footwear for the 2008 Spring/Summer Collection is the Bapesta 88. The high top 88 model includes a stitched leather upper with a safari-esque print. Bape’s shooting star logo can be seen along the back of the heel. Available now at Bape retailers and New for 2008 are a collection of Bape Shark hoodies. Unlike the previous releases, this new collection is comprised entirely of leather. Still perfect for hiding yourself from the world due to your lack of popularity. Four colors include black, navy blue, purple and beige. Don’t expect these things to come cheap.

Gourmet 2008 Summer Collection

Within their short existence, Gourmet has made a remarkable impression on the scene. Their success can easily be associated with the well experienced threesome of Jon Buscemi, Greg Lucci and Greg Johnsen. Although their collection of footwear has for once made the notion of Jordan-inspired footwear palatable to the masses rather then be drowned out with shouts of fake and bootlegs, their collection goes much deeper than footwear. Check Gourmet’s 2008 Summer Collection in the coming months.

Real Mad Hectic x Nike Air Force 1 Low

Real Mad Hectic got together with Nike to design an Air Force 1 Low. The end result is a very red shoe. Everything from the upper, to the midsole, to the stitching, the laces, the midsole, etc… is all red. They ended up using different materials to make the shoe less monotonous. No word on availability yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

If you are looking for a gift to give to your significant other, or your trying to buy a sneaker that represents love, then here is the Nike Court Force High 2008 Valentines Day Womens release.

Although we have a couple months to go, Asia has already unleashed the Nike Court Force High Valentines Day. A great site to see is Nike using lighter colors, instead of the usual darker color scheme on past Valentines Day releases. Available now at Atmos.

Air Jordan Force V (5) – Playoffs

To date my favorite pair of Air Jordan x Air Force 1 Fusion shoes, maybe because it has more Jordan V qualities in it than Air Force 1 Mid qualities. This shoe should be a hit amongst Jordan fans as it brings back the “23″ stitching, a hint of patent leather on the heel, icy soles, and most importantly a clean colorway, Black and Red. via Kenlu // Air Randy

Air Jordan 12 (XII) x Air Force 1 (One) LS

Here is a new exclusive look at the Air Jordan 12 (XII) x Air Force 1 (One) LS – Silver / Chutney / Stealth / Glacier Ice which are another addition to the upcoming Air Jordan 12 x Air Force 1 (One) Fusion / Hybrid family. They feature a silver, chutney, and stealth colorway with a translucent glacier blue sole. Via Air-Randy. This pair will be limited to Uraban Accounts and NikeTowns. Stay tuned for more..

Other Air Jordan 12 (XII) x Air Force 1 (One) Fusions / Hybrids:

Air Force 1 x Air Jordan 3 = Air Jordan Force III (3) Fusion

 air-jordan-force-iii-cement.jpg
This is interesting. I don’t think the catalog picture does these justice, they look not bad. I’ll make my judgments once the leather has been stitched together. This Air Jordan III and Air Force 1 mash-up has aspects of both sneakers with an Air Force 1 over all shape. The Air Jordan III Max Air Unit has been added to the midsole. This may also be a new height that’s a cross between an Air Force 1 Low and an Air Force 1 Mid. Expect three colorways Fall 2008 but expect sample pictures very soon.

New Balance CM576 “Purple Velvet”

new-balance-576-20th-velvet-5.jpg
New Balance is holding nothing back for next year’s celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the 576.  A while back, Solebox helped bring us the “Purple Devils”, but next year New Balance will release the “Purple Velvet” taking cues from 17th century French royalty.

These sneakers were inspired by Versailles Palace.  This was the crib of King Louis XIV who went down in history for a lavish and luxurious lifestyle while on the thrown.  Besides the plush velvet interior and gold accents, these kicks also feature an ornate stitched pattern to resemble the fine art collected by Louis XIV and 3M reflective “N” logo.  These shoes are available now at Mita in Japan.

Nike Future Sole Design Competition

I remember a few years ago, NikeTalk was a haven for some unreal sketches of visionary shoe designers. The names have eluded me now, but some guy I remember scored a gig with FILA as well. Nike has initiated the Future Sole Design Competition for budding high school students to submit their designs in hopes of becoming a new footwear designer for Nike. The contest begins January 1st, 2008 and wraps up May 15th, 2008. A full list of information and rules can be seen here.
