New Balance 574 “Raggae”

We present you the new New Balance 574 “Raggae”. It’s certainly a theme that we do not see the first time on a sneaker and probably also not the last. What we like in the New Balance execution is the consequence. The upper comes in a mix of black nubuck and patent leather. The rasta colors appear on the several levels of the sole, which we have not seen before, and even the stitching and the tongue logo come in matching colors. To round it off, they used some 3M on the logo and the back heel.

More low-profile sneakers from New Balance, the AJJ is a new model that does away with the company’s much loved padding and tech for a more slimmer silhouette. Unfortunately for big footers, since these were made primarily for the Japanese market, they only go up to size US11.

Mita Sneakers x realmadHectic x New Balance MT580 “CMYK”

For the 12th time New Balance, Mita Sneakers and realmadHectic get together to work on the MT580. Entitled “CMYK” the sneaker is covered in the classic CMYK colors on the upper. Some white is also mixed in, on the sides, ankle and midsole, as well as on the laces. Via Altsnk.

Overall a nice summer sneaker. It will be released in Japan on 5th of July.

New Balance MT580 2009 Preview

Once a regional exclusive to Japan and the focus of numerous collaborations between Stussy and mad hectic, the fabled trail running MT580 recently saw its first action in the world spotlight with more general releases. A preview of the 2009 collection of clunky midsoled runner features some picture perfect colorways which offer a great compromise with the often colorful offerings most MT580 fans are subjected to with the Stussy x mad hectic collabos. No word yet on availability.

Atmos x New Balance 576 ‘Face Off’

Atmos and New Balance join forces to create these 576s. Dubbed Face Off, the sneaker’s turquoise panels were treated with hypercolor, which turns brighter when it comes in contact with heat. They release in July.

Triple Threat New Balance MT580 “Synthetic”

After showing you several teasers of the upcoming Triple Threat MT580 “Synthetic” pack, an on-going collaboration project by realMad Hectic, Undefeated, Stussy and New Balance, we can finally show you full images of all three sneakers, that are part of the pack. The pack will be released at Undefeated Japan stores this coming weekend, 26th of April. Pics via Altsnk.

Triple Threat New Balance MT580 Synthetic - Stussy x Undefeated x Hectic

The Triple Threat Project continues this month and the collaborative project consisting of Stussy, Undefeated and Hectic will be releasing a new set of New Balance MT580’s. This time they worked with an array of strong colors and the uppers are almost entirely made up of patent leather.

The pack (more pics) consists of three sneakers and will be released at Undefeated Japan Chapter Stores on April 26th.

Mita Sneakers x Realmad Hectic x New Balance MT580 Pack

Japanese sneaker store Mita got together with Realmad Hectic and New Balance to work on the MT580. They created a pack consisting of two sneakers and it will be released on the 19th of April.

24 Kilates x New Balance x New Era “Modernist Pack”

Here are some new pictures of the 24 Kilates x New Balance x New Era “Modernist Pack” which is inspired by the architecture in Barcelona. Colored tiling is one of Antoni Gaudi’s signature designs where he has used this theme in many of his popular tourist destinations. 24 Kilates, the boutique in Barcelona, has taken this inspiration and applied in onto a New Balance sneaker as well as a New Era cap forming the “Modernist Pack”. Included in this pack is a New Balance M1700 and a New Era 59Fifty Fitted Cap. These will release on April 12th at the 24 Kilates store only. Don’t miss out if you’re in town.

New Balance CM576 “Purple Velvet”

New Balance is holding nothing back for next year’s celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the 576.  A while back, Solebox helped bring us the “Purple Devils”, but next year New Balance will release the “Purple Velvet” taking cues from 17th century French royalty.

These sneakers were inspired by Versailles Palace.  This was the crib of King Louis XIV who went down in history for a lavish and luxurious lifestyle while on the thrown.  Besides the plush velvet interior and gold accents, these kicks also feature an ornate stitched pattern to resemble the fine art collected by Louis XIV and 3M reflective “N” logo.  These shoes are available now at Mita in Japan.
