Bape Store Launch Party London

Over the weekend we reported about the renewed Bape Store London. The store got an interior upgrade and after previously being a Busy Work Shop, has now become a full Bape Store. Of course the occasion was properly celebrated. Nigo and Pharrell came out to party with the London folks at Disco 24 and it sure looked like a good night.

Undercover x A Bathing Ape “Nowhere” Sneakers

The original Nowhere store was operated in the 90’s by Nigo (A Bathing Ape) and Jun Takashi (Undercover) in Harajuku, Tokyo. Earlier this year, that store front was recreated at Dover Street Market in London, where we have already seen the resurgence of their original Last Orgy 2 brand.

Now we have a look at a collaborative A Bathing and Undercover “Nowhere” sneaker. Set against the iconic Bape green camo, the shoe’s Jack Purcell-like silhouette features an inset “Nowhere” toe cap and a co-branded footbed. These will be available soon at Nowhere’s shop-in-shop at Dover Street Market London.

Mercedes 300 SL For Nigo

The Bape General did it once again, this time on one of the most mind-blowing oldtimers of all time – Nigo put his Bape camouflage pattern on the Mercedes 300SL, along with all sorts of other types of customization, such as a custom AMG engine, wheels and more. This is one of the most beautiful cars ever built, thus we are not so sure it really needs the Bape camo make-over, but at least Nigo can be sure it’s a unique piece. Previously Nigo had put the camouflage on a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

A Bathing Ape 2008 Winter Catalog

A Bathing Ape gives us a look into their 2008 winter catalog. The collection showcases some of the Japanese labels most recent contemporary looks while maintaining their signature streetwear swagger. Modeled by some familiar faces including: Kanye West and Big Sean of GOOD Music, Shay and Pharrell of N.E.R.D and Verbal, Wise, Ilmari, and Ryo-Z of the Terikyaki Boyz, the lineup continues A Bathing Ape’s trademark aesthetic. A Bathing Ape Nigo’s Favorite Shop “Mario to Milo” Tees

Exclusive for Nigo’s Favorite Shop (a member’s only Bape online store) are these new “MARIO to MILO” t-shirts. Similar to the previous SpongeBob SquarePants collaboration, the tees will feature both the characters Mario and Baby Milo in different poses. Fans of Nintendo’s most iconic character and Bape should check this out. Available now at Cliff Edge.

Bape continues to release their footwear in metallic gold and silver colorways. The latest one is the Bapesta88, which comes low and high, in both silver and gold.

World Wide Bape Heads Show T-Shirt & More

We already showed you the tv commercial for the World Wide Bape Heads Show, which will be taking place soon in Hong Kong. Here you see now the two t-shirts that were made for the occasion.

Bape 07/08 Fall/Winter Collection February Releases

Bape Hong Kong’s first arrival for February is upon us. The releases encompass products such as Roadstas, mesh caps and accessories including belts and bags. The leather Roadstas are available in four different colorways. Releasing on February 2nd at Bape Hong Kong.

BBC | Ice Cream Season 6 2008 Spring/Summer Collection

BBC|Ice Cream, the label directed by Pharrell Williams with the help from Nigo (A Bathing Ape), has released their Season 6 look book. This BBC|Ice Cream goes the preppy style with polos, button up shirts and knitted vest. Of course, you’ll get the usual BBC|Ice Cream style as well with zip up hoodies and loud denim jeans. Pharrell Williams x Louis Vuitton

A few years ago, music producer Pharrell Williams and Bape creator Nigo were the mastermind’s behind a collection of sunglasses for Louis Vuitton. A new series of collaboration jewelry under the moniker of Blason will release in subsequent Paris runway shows, designed under the guidance of Pharrell and LV’s creative consultant for jewelry, Camille Miceli. The avant garde styles incorporate themes of music and above all else expensive materials such as diamonds and gold. The price tags are not for the faint of heart, ranging from $2,070 to $621,000 USD. The full collection will debut January 21st.

Bape Camo Shark City Exclusive Hoodie

If the previous releases of Bape Shark hoodies weren’t obnoxious enough, Bape has just released a pack of Shark hoodies with camo bodies. Unlike previous Shark releases which maintained mostly solid colors, these releases combine Bape’s bread and butter camo together to make one very beasty package. To top it off, each hoodie is regionally exclusive to Kagoshima, Harajuku, Nagoya and Matsuyama.

We have another SpongeBob collabo to report about. Besides the Bapestas, BAPE has also released a tee featuring Milo hiding behind SpongeBob. They come in two colours, but have already sold out at Cliffedge.

 

Bape Bapesta 88 / Shark Leather Hoodie

New to Bape’s collection of footwear for the 2008 Spring/Summer Collection is the Bapesta 88. The high top 88 model includes a stitched leather upper with a safari-esque print. Bape’s shooting star logo can be seen along the back of the heel. Available now at Bape retailers and New for 2008 are a collection of Bape Shark hoodies. Unlike the previous releases, this new collection is comprised entirely of leather. Still perfect for hiding yourself from the world due to your lack of popularity. Four colors include black, navy blue, purple and beige. Don’t expect these things to come cheap.

Bape 07/08 Fall/Winter Collection

Deep into winter, Bape will be releasing some new jackets as part of their 07/08 Fall/Winter Collection. Among the jackets are some leather jackets in either regular or hooded versions, complete with faux fur hood trims. Other releases will include knit and printed hoodies. Available this Saturday, January 5th at Bape Hong Kong

Eyescream February 2008

The February 2008 issue of the Japanese magazine Eyescream has recently been released. We have already seen many magazines talking Bape in these past view years but everytime someone does it, we are still interested in Bape especially the lifestyle of the main man behind it, Nigo. The Bape feature will include a long interview with Nigo, Skate Thing, Teriyaki Boyz, Wonderwall’s Masamichi Katayama and many more. The book is now available at your local Japanese bookstores.

Bape 2007 Fall/Winter Collection December Release

he Bape Store in Hong Kong will round out the end of 2007 with the following items as part of their Fall/Winter Collection. Among the items are a varsity jacket, hoodies, denim and a wide range of accessories. The accessories include mini plush Baby Milos, belts, pillows, hats and wallets.
