Next up in Nixon’s ongoing Rubber Player program is a solid orange number with contrast black details. If it seems familiar, Nixon did release a Fluro orange version in August, but the black hands (and diamond!) really set this one off. Drops later this month at select Nixon retailers including Silo.

Nixon and Barneys have put together their fourth consecutive holiday watch collection. Made up of five new exclusive timepieces, the collection features three custom 51-30’s, alongside updated versions of The Magnacon and The Time Teller P. As you can see, they kept it classy with heavy doses of black complemented by rose gold accents. Available exclusively at Barneys New York and Barneys New York CO-OP locations (including online) starting November 14, 2009.

Last night we gave you a first look at P-Rod’s Primative watch collaboration with Nixon. Here’s a full look at both the purple/gold and the black color ups. The watches go on sale this Saturday November 14th at 11:00 A.M. The final Nixon Rubber Player from the Fluro Series has been unvealed. This time they chose the grapefruit yellow. Look out for a release soon and possibly also for another upcoming Rubber Player Series in the near future.

Officially launching today, Nixon announces the second colorway in their limited edition 4-month program, launching an exclusive colorway each month of their Fluro Player series. The Fluro Player features 3-hand Japanese quartz movement, a custom molded, high-polish, gloss finish polyurethane and band, and boasts a diamond at the 6 o’clock position. Retailing for $170, the watch will be accompanied by a collector’s kit stand and packaging at select Nixon retailers

Nixon has been for a while now one of only a few interesting mid-range price watch companies on the market and with the recent push in interesting models, that will not change any time soon. Most impressed so far, we are with their new Elite Ceramic Collection for Fall 2009. Entirely Swiss Made, they present the 51-30 divers watch and the Player model with complete ceramic cases. The 51-30 comes in two sizes in all white, featuring a ceramic bezel and strap. The Player comes in black and in white with the watch case and strap coming in ceramic. Obvious other features include the scratch resistant saphire glass, Swiss movement and much more. These features of course do not come cheap. Expect the 51-30 to be more than 2000 USD retail. Look out for the new watches in stores soon.

By now you should know the drill about the Nixon Rubber Player releases. They continue to bring the rubber covered watch in limited editions, with one colorway coming out per month. For August they will come out with an apricot version of the watch. Stay tuned for the release.

We take a look at first new styles coming from Nixon for Fall 2009. The brand does not have many competitors in their price class and does a great job keeping this niche of mid priced watches for the younger generation to them. We really like the minimalist approach the brand is taking this Fall. The watches remind us a little of the Braun watches from the 80’s. Minimalist design, classic colors, yet a sense of modernism. New models this season include The Chronicle, The Mellor and The Newton Digital.
