Puma Clyde PF Holiday 2009

The Puma Clyde comes for Holiday 2009 in two new colorways. The sneakers feature a fading effect on the upper, one going from white to black, the other one from black to gold. Both feature patent leather uppers and also a bit of a pixelated look. The pack is now available from Mita.

Solebox x Puma R698 Now Online

Solebox teamed up with Puma on these R698 sneakers. They released yesterday in-store, and the remaining pairs went online last night. Get it through Solebox’s website.

Hikmet Of Solebox Feature: Solemart & Puma R698 Collaboration

We took some time out to sit down with Hikmet of Solebox. As usual the Berlin sneaker empire has lots going on and in the next couple of weeks some exciting projects will be released. Their Solemart event for sneaker enthusiasts returns and big plans are made for the future. Furthermore Solebox will be releasing their much anticipated Puma R698 collaboration. Their last Reebok featured an orange scent, the new Puma feature light-up laces. As you can see, it never gets boring!

Puma x Solebox R698 Release

We are getting closer to the release of the Puma x Solebox R698. Soon we can give you a more detailed look at the much anticipated sneaker that features some pretty innovative features. Until then, check out the video above!

Puma By Mihara MY-41

Here comes another sneaker from the Puma by Mihara Spring 2009 Collection. The Japanese designer has always something special in mind and the MY-41 comes with a very interesting design on the heel and especially the sole, with layers seeming to go into each other. We like the colorway and especially the matching laces. Otherwise its really a matter of style, as we are sure it is not for everyone. Via Kenlu.

Puma x Alexander McQueen

Born from the Puma/Alexander McQueen colab, the Ribcage is a convergence of sport versus anatomical influence. Anatomy has been the consistent inspirational theme since the colab between Puma and McQueen began. As the name suggests, this style takes its design cues from the human ribcage structure as well as Puma’s ninties running styles, creating a technical sports fashion appeal.

Puma “Repeat” Suede | First Round Pack

Puma continue with their “Repeat” pack theme of tonal patterns over a new collection including the Suede and First Round. The print features tonal silhouettes of each respective shoe, the Suede and First Round. Each style comes in different basic colorways which can be seen over at FLAUGE.

Puma 2009 Spring/Summer Disc Blaze

Having not been able to develop the same sort of instant following which seems to have followed some of its related sneaker brethren of the same era, the Puma Disc Blaze will hopefully try to win over some folk with its 2009 spring/summer releases. More notably, the white and blue colorway sees some definite potential alongside a black/pink version. Available now at Mischief.

Sergio Rossi x Puma Clyde 26 January 2009, 21.50

The much anticipated Sergio Rossi x Puma collaboration has been released today at colette. They worked next to some high heels also on the Clyde, which we present you here. It comes in four colorways, all featuring tonal satin uppers and a clean white sole. They go for 150 Euros

Undefeated x Puma 24K Mid Collection

Undefeated have joined forces with Puma to create a new set of sneakers. The end result is the 24K Mid collection, which consists of the Puma Mid in five different colourways. They were each given a perforated suede upper – except for the gold colourway, which is more limited than the other Mids – and packed full of gold details including both brands’ logos, a gold-studded five-strike logo, the insoles, etc… The sneakers release Saturday, February 7th at Undefeated as well as Classic Kicks (NYC), ALIFE (NYC), Atmos (NYC), Major (DC), UBIQ (Philly), Premium Goods (Houston), Leaders (Chicago) and Bodega (Boston).

Solebox x Puma R698

Puma has teamed up with German Sneaker retailer Solebox to create the limited edition of the iconic 80’s runner; the R698.

Sharing the same tooling as the Disc Blaze, the R698 is an expansion of PUMA’s Trinomic technology collection that was first introduced in the early 1980’s. This shoe is made out of soft suede overlays and lightweight athletic mesh panels. The special colourway of the R698 Solebox in white/steel gray/black with a slash of vivid colour pops in florescent pink and blue atoll, setting it off in all the right places and brings us back to that unforgettable decade.

The crew at Solebox added a special highlight, flashing laces in vibrant blue which start to blink when the shoe is moving.

Only a limited amount of pairs of this must-have-item were exclusively made for Solebox and are available beginning April 18th only at the Solebox Store in Berlin.

Here you get a first look. Later this week we should be able to provide a closer look at the sneaker, as well as at the flashing laces.

Undefeated x Puma Mid 24K Pack

Recently we gave you a preview at the upcoming Undefeated x Puma Mid collaboration. This metallic gold 24k Pack colorway was not in the preview and it seems to be the most limited colorway to come from the collaboration. Image via XXLMag, Soleblvd.

Mita Sneakers x Puma Clyde

Once again Puma and Mita Sneakers get together and this time Mita worked on the infamous Clyde model. Coming in a typical Japanese design, it features a blue/black upper with white accents. Mita will be releasing the collaboration on 2nd of January, 2009.

Puma 60th Anniversary Unlimited Hi

We continue to preview new styles out of the Puma 60th anniversary collection. Here comes the Unlimited Hi in a black/silver and white/green version. The silver and the green on the sneakers comes in exotic leathers. The black and white are a mix of premium leather and butter soft nubuck. Via Kenlu.

To celebrate their 60th Anniversary, Puma has created the Puma 60th Anniversary Collection featuring five of the companies sneakers.Two of its most iconic sneakers, the Roma and the Clyde are the most notable of the collection. The colors are primarily black and white for all of the releases, with the exception of the Clyde, which gets a flashy red suede make-up, featuring a black Puma logo. Yo! MTV Raps x Puma Stepper

Puma have come out with the latest installation of their ongoing line of Yo! MTV Raps sneakers. Last month, they released the Yo! MTV Raps Stepper in two colourways, and now we have two more styles. These just arrived at Alternate.

Puma Blaze of Glory ‘Graphic Design’

Similar to the Disc Blaze, the Blaze of Glory features laces instead of the Disc Fasten system. Here we have a new colourway of the sneaker, dubbed the Graphic Design. It is now available at Hanon Shop.

Puma Adds The First Round To Mongolian BBQ

Launched in 2005, Puma’s Mongolian BBQ program is the most inspired customization project out. What it lacks in footwear choices, it has made up for in materials and sheer fun. They’ve added the First Round, for the first time folding a high top in with the RS-100 and Basket (the original shoe was the Cabana Racer). A good silhouette to play with, here’s hoping the ingredients to cook with are strong as well.

PUMA X ALEXANDER MCQUEEN (BLACK STATION)

The Alexander McQueen PUMA footwear collection explores the skeletal structure – the AMQ Spine Luxe showcases a lizard-skin upper with a slicked down silhouette reminiscent of the Puma Clyde. But check out the sole on this slinker! Like Amy Winehouse’s reflection, the soles feature a translucent skeleton moulded and carved so intricately it will have you seeking out a fresh wet concrete pavement to leave your mark in.

Adding a bit of height to the AMQ is the Spine Mid Velcro, taking cues from the futuristic and high-end feature that has been taking over fashion circles, the multi-velcro straps. A pure piece of art, it is crafted to create a premium, simplisitic high top, that even Kanye will surely give nods to.

Rounding out the collection is the AMQ In Bounds Mid, in all its chocolate and ice blue glory. With rich cocoa leathers spliced with the water cooler blue panels, it just goes to show that brown shoes are still fashionable! Now I wonder where he got the idea to put a shark’s tooth on a Puma?

Puma First Round Sktech

This Fall the Puma First Round comes in an interesting new look. Entitled First Round Sketch, the high top sneaker comes in overall four colorways, all imitating as if the sneaker was customized by hand. The silhouette of the sneaker has been re-drawn upon and the Puma logo stripe also comes as a print, as well as the Puma logo tag on the tongue. That coupled with fatlaces certainly makes for an interesting look. Pics via Kenlu.

Puma First Round Womens Polka Dots

Recently taking front and center stage among Puma’s original collection of basketball kicks, the First Round is seen here in this latest theme featuring a basic polka dot pattern. Both uppers are comprised of a mixture of patent leather and suede/velour with the polka dots seen exclusively on the patent leather. Also included are a set of satin laces. Black and purple colorways are part of the pack which is available now at Overkill. Despite being a womens release, sizes are all the way up to a US 9.5.

Jul 08 Puma First Round Color Pack

Some of the newest releases for Puma’s high-top offering the First Round has dropped at select retailers. Two styles are both tonal in design with all gray and all pink with minimal additional colors. A closer look also includes embossed “First Round” throughout the sneaker’s suede upper. Available now at Flauge.

Puma Pop Art 917 Lo

Puma swagger-jacked deceased American Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein’s style for a new silhouette they’ll introduce called the Pop Art 917 Lo. Lichtenstein was known for his deeply rooted influence in comic book art, and with the Basket 68s that Puma did a while back being a hit, the brand decided to channel Lichtenstein again for this low-profile sneaker. They’ll be available at select Puma stores this summer.

Han Cholo x Puma First Round

A few teasers of the collaboration between Puma and LA based jewelery co. Han Cholo have hit the web so far, but this (finally) is the full retail version. Metalic gold with purple, there is both a nod to a jewelery trade stock material (gold) and the home town Lakers. Chain print laces and Han Cholo name in old english script flesh out the Han Cholo brand identity on the First Round silhouette.

Exclusive to the Han Cholo shop in Echo Park, LA, the sneakers will go for $300. (via URB).

Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde Pack

Initially we only expected the Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde Pack to consist of two colorways. Now we can confirm that it will consist of a total of 4 Clydes, some more loud in terms of design than others, overall a good balance. Tommie Smith was a legendary sprinter, who turned famous at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Via LaMJC.

Puma x Yo! MTV Raps 2008 – Part II – Suede TLP

The 2008 Puma x Yo! MTV Raps second drop occurred in mid-May with the release a new colorway of the Puma First Round, the addition of two colorways of the Puma Match, and a new colorway of the RS-100. Missing from that drop is the Puma Suede TLP in white with a green Puma Form-Stripe with white scribbles. This Puma Suede should be a pretty hot colorway for the summer. Sneaker Freaker x Puma “Blaze Of Glory” | Black Colorway

PUMA has teamed up with Sneaker Freaker Magazine to produce the most anticipated release of 2008, codenamed ‘Jirozame’. After months of digging deep into PUMA’s archives, the Sneaker Freaker crew found their shoe, a long gone PUMA runner which had been in hiding for quite some time. Based on a familiar silhouette, the Blaze of Glory shares the same sole, neoprene bootie and hexagonal Trinomic cell unit as the iconic PUMA Disc Blaze.

With its elegant and proud stance, the Blaze of Glory looks righteous from any angle. As Woody says, “the goal was to create a truly distinctive sneaker while honoring a concept with an understated and subtle execution.” The hard fought and poetic balance was achieved after countless rounds of design and sampling that has produced a product with no comparison in the market today.

Highlights include satin lining, silver performance mesh, uppers of nubuck, silky braided laces, anodised sneaker jewellery and the legendary Trinomic cell unit ‘river of blood’ embedded into the sole. There’s also a choice of beautifully designed insoles and multiple laces to complement the highly desirable sneaker.

The first colorway was a hit, and this one will also fly off the shelves. Look out for an in-depth look at this new black colorway here soon.

Hanon will be releasing the new colorway in the next couple of weeks.

RING ON THE CLOUDS

Is it just me, or have we been seeing a lot of “eccentric” looking PUMA Clydes lately? A much as we applaud the creativity, there are some times when we just want something that isn’t too flashy looking, yet has an added punch over regular releases – yes, we are a very picky bunch, so sue us.

Answering our calls, PUMA will release these cloud themed Clydes as part of the Real Leather series. The leather uppers feature a weathered effect that gives off a cloud-like appearance, whilst the PUMA Formstripe provides an added shine though the use of patent leather; the result is a set of kicks suitable for any place or time – be it cloudy or not.

The PUMA Clydes Cloud will be available at selected stockists around South East Asia in July 2008.

Puma Basket 1990s Championship Pack – Houston | Los Angeles | Chicago

Another batch of Puma Baskets have released that pay homage to championship teams of the NBA, this time focusing on the 1990s. Previous releases included the 1970s Championship Pack which featured the Seattle Supersonics and Boston Celtics. This round of Baskets include the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. Each sneaker features a skyline of the city and replaces the “BASKET” logo with the respective city’s name. Available now at Mita.
