Puma First Round Womens Polka Dots

Recently taking front and center stage among Puma’s original collection of basketball kicks, the First Round is seen here in this latest theme featuring a basic polka dot pattern. Both uppers are comprised of a mixture of patent leather and suede/velour with the polka dots seen exclusively on the patent leather. Also included are a set of satin laces. Black and purple colorways are part of the pack which is available now at Overkill. Despite being a womens release, sizes are all the way up to a US 9.5.

Jul 08 Puma First Round Color Pack

Some of the newest releases for Puma’s high-top offering the First Round has dropped at select retailers. Two styles are both tonal in design with all gray and all pink with minimal additional colors. A closer look also includes embossed “First Round” throughout the sneaker’s suede upper. Puma Pop Art 917 Lo

Puma swagger-jacked deceased American Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein’s style for a new silhouette they’ll introduce called the Pop Art 917 Lo. Lichtenstein was known for his deeply rooted influence in comic book art, and with the Basket 68s that Puma did a while back being a hit, the brand decided to channel Lichtenstein again for this low-profile sneaker. They’ll be available at select Puma stores this summer.

Han Cholo x Puma First Round

A few teasers of the collaboration between Puma and LA based jewelery co. Han Cholo have hit the web so far, but this (finally) is the full retail version. Metalic gold with purple, there is both a nod to a jewelery trade stock material (gold) and the home town Lakers. Chain print laces and Han Cholo name in old english script flesh out the Han Cholo brand identity on the First Round silhouette.

Exclusive to the Han Cholo shop in Echo Park, LA, the sneakers will go for $300. (via URB).

Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde Pack

Initially we only expected the Tommie Smith x Puma Clyde Pack to consist of two colorways. Now we can confirm that it will consist of a total of 4 Clydes, some more loud in terms of design than others, overall a good balance. Tommie Smith was a legendary sprinter, who turned famous at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. Via LaMJC.

Puma x Yo! MTV Raps 2008 - Part II - Suede TLP

The 2008 Puma x Yo! MTV Raps second drop occurred in mid-May with the release a new colorway of the Puma First Round, the addition of two colorways of the Puma Match, and a new colorway of the RS-100. Missing from that drop is the Puma Suede TLP in white with a green Puma Form-Stripe with white scribbles. This Puma Suede should be a pretty hot colorway for the summer. Sneaker Freaker x Puma “Blaze Of Glory” | Black Colorway

PUMA has teamed up with Sneaker Freaker Magazine to produce the most anticipated release of 2008, codenamed ‘Jirozame’. After months of digging deep into PUMA’s archives, the Sneaker Freaker crew found their shoe, a long gone PUMA runner which had been in hiding for quite some time. Based on a familiar silhouette, the Blaze of Glory shares the same sole, neoprene bootie and hexagonal Trinomic cell unit as the iconic PUMA Disc Blaze.

With its elegant and proud stance, the Blaze of Glory looks righteous from any angle. As Woody says, “the goal was to create a truly distinctive sneaker while honoring a concept with an understated and subtle execution.” The hard fought and poetic balance was achieved after countless rounds of design and sampling that has produced a product with no comparison in the market today.

Highlights include satin lining, silver performance mesh, uppers of nubuck, silky braided laces, anodised sneaker jewellery and the legendary Trinomic cell unit ‘river of blood’ embedded into the sole. There’s also a choice of beautifully designed insoles and multiple laces to complement the highly desirable sneaker.

The first colorway was a hit, and this one will also fly off the shelves. Look out for an in-depth look at this new black colorway here soon.

RING ON THE CLOUDS

Is it just me, or have we been seeing a lot of “eccentric” looking PUMA Clydes lately? A much as we applaud the creativity, there are some times when we just want something that isn’t too flashy looking, yet has an added punch over regular releases - yes, we are a very picky bunch, so sue us.

Answering our calls, PUMA will release these cloud themed Clydes as part of the Real Leather series. The leather uppers feature a weathered effect that gives off a cloud-like appearance, whilst the PUMA Formstripe provides an added shine though the use of patent leather; the result is a set of kicks suitable for any place or time - be it cloudy or not.

The PUMA Clydes Cloud will be available at selected stockists around South East Asia in July 2008.

Puma Basket 1990s Championship Pack - Houston | Los Angeles | Chicago

Another batch of Puma Baskets have released that pay homage to championship teams of the NBA, this time focusing on the 1990s. Previous releases included the 1970s Championship Pack which featured the Seattle Supersonics and Boston Celtics. This round of Baskets include the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. Each sneaker features a skyline of the city and replaces the “BASKET” logo with the respective city’s name. Available now at Mita.

Puma x Atmos Endangered Asian Species Pack

Exactly a month after Puma drops their endangered polar animals pack, the brand will follow-up with a set of three sneakers that take inspiration from dying out Asian animals. This time they worked on the classic Clyde and created the Golden Monkey and the Crested Ibis sneakers, which is being displayed above. The Clyde is kept more simple than the other sneakers in the pack. No more fur linings and imitations on the outside. That results in more wearable shoes. Via Complex.

Puma x Atmos - Polar Pack

Puma x Atmos Clyde Harp Seal, $125

This June, Puma will release a pack of three sneakers in collaboration with Atmos NY that take inspiration from different endangered polar animals. Each sneaker features photography by seasoned wildlife shutterbug Mitsuaki Iwago (National Geographic’s resident photog), and was produced to bring awareness to the detrimental affects the environment is having on wildlife. The set of three which are inspired by The Harp Seal (pictured above), Macaroni Penguin, and The Polar Bear all have distinct design cues throughout the uppers that mimic the animals aesthetic. The shoes will be exclusive to Atmos, and will drop June 28th. Check the other two styles after the jump.

Puma “Teddy” First Round

Puma continues to push the First Round since last year and brings alternative designs of the sneaker. Now they present us the “Teddy” First Round Pack.

The shoe features teddy fur on the lining and the tongue. On the outside it comes with buttons and further stitching details. The backheel as well as around the laces, suede has been placed, which features an embossed star pattern. Via Sneaker Freaker.

The sneaker comes in two colorways. A release date is not known so far.

Puma Spring ‘08 Released

Here we feature several different models from Puma which are releasing all Spring. They crazy, bright, and vibrant colors give hint to what time of year it is. Puma fanatics have plenty to choose from, whether it be the Sky II Hi model, the First ORund, RS 100, or Clyde, just to name a few. Puma First Round L - WMNS

New from Puma are these women’s editions of the First Round L. Coming in two clean colorways of black and white, with nice use of leather and gold accenting, these are two solid drops in Puma’s womens’ collection. With just the right amount of patent leather providing for some nice accenting, these Pumas will make any female shoehead’s day. In fact, as it’s Mother’s Day today, perhaps these would be the perfect gift for introducing Mom to her first pair of kicks! Look for these now at select Puma dealers. Puma Roma 68

It should be known that Puma is re-issuing their timeless classic, the one and only Roma sneaker. Originally revealed to the public by the German sportswear company Puma in 1968, this release will pay a well-deserved tribute to fans of the Puma Roma. The “white/team royal” colorway will be the first one to hit the shops, it will feature a flawless leather upper as well as a delicate suede formstripe on the side. Lastly, it’ll have a sticker of authenticity with roots dating back to 1968.

The other three colorways that will be available will be a tribute to the Italia 68 football team and will feature materials from the football jerseys. Keep your eyes peeled for these, and own a part of history! More pictures after the jump. Via HB.

Briezrs presents: The PUMA Pixelation & Raphael

Pixelation, inspired by the cyberworld.

Briezrs was browsing through some pictures and when he tried to zoom in to look at the details, he noticed the image became pixelated, actually his initial view was that pixelated pictures looked awful, can’t see much details and are just too many squares. But then again, it may look nice if there are different shades of bright colours, so he experiment with it and came up with a custom edition of “PUMA Pixelation”. I personally LOVE these kicks and I want’em to add’em to my collection!

Puma Clyde MU “Made In Japan”

Puma continues to release new styles of one of their most popular and iconic models the Clyde. This time they present the Clyde MU “Made in Japan”. It comes in metallic leathers and a different “Clyde” tag on the side.

A new pack of colorful Puma Clydes have dropped. Despite the relatively simple nature of the Clyde, Puma has three highly contrasting colorways on this basketball classic. The uppers feature buttery monotone colored suede with a contrasting color on the sole. The colors include green/violet, orange/blue and blue/red. Available now at Ubiq.

Puma x Tommie Smith 200m Clyde Collection

PUMA’s relationship with track star Tommie Smith dates back to the 1960’s. He was a sponsored PUMA athlete & took home the gold medal in the 200M in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics with the world record time of 19.83 seconds. After setting 7 individual world records in track & field, Tommie played professional football for the Cincinnati Bengals for one season and was elected into the National Track & Field Hall of Fame in 1978. A tribute to this brave athlete and his favorite pair of PUMA sneakers, the Clyde in navy suede, the Tommie Smith Clyde collection features 2 exclusive Clyde offerings.

Blue Suede Clydes:
These are the shoes that Tommie wore on the podium in the 1968 Olympic games. They have been lined with a metallic gold leather lining, a reference to his gold medal win. Other details include an embossed gold medal FOT, Mexico City reference on the sockliner & lateral and the tongue labels display his record breaking time of 19.83 s in the 200M race.

Yo! MTV Raps x Puma Match & Suede

Last week we already presented you a new Yo! MTV Raps pack consisting of a Puma Suede, First Round and RS-100. Thanks to SneakerFreaker we can now give you a look at the Puma Match, which comes as part of the collection in several colorways.

The Puma Match’s from this collection will come in limited quantities to Footlocker stores and to Puma stores as of April 15th. Also we give you a look at another colorway of the Puma Suede that will be dropping as part of this project. More pics after the jump.

Puma x Yo! MTV Raps 2008 - First Round/Suede Patent/RS-100

After first releasing two Yo! MTV Raps collections last year, Puma continues to push the theme. Here is a first look at the upcoming styles. The latest pack consists of a First Round, Suede Patent and the RS-100.

Both the Suede Patent and the RS-100 come in special colors and materials, while not going too crazy. The First Round is definitely very special and will be the kind of sneaker that you love or hate.

The pack will be released on the 15th of April. Check out all three in detail after the jump.

PUMA X No Mas First Rounds LE

With gambling comes risk, and Professional Basketball’s Draft is always a gamble. The irony of the draft is unpredictable and often can make or break a team’s goal of creating a dynasty.

To capture this feeling PUMA and No Mas teamed up and released the PUMA X No Mas First Rounds LA to further celebrate last year’s exhibition of “The Lottery”. This month, the PUMA First Round is inspired by the city of Boston and the loss of a rising star. Highlights of the PUMA X No Mas First Rounds LE include black on black leather with embroidered lottery balls, three sets of laces with “No Mas” branding on the lace tips and the outsole, and a band on the collar of the shoe saying “RIP”.  The band represents the armband that team members wear when they are mourning the loss of a teammate.

A very limited number of pairs will drop exclusively at BODEGA Boston on Monday, March 17th. Just in time to celebrate the life and death of a Boston draft pick that could have carried the team into their glory years, when they were winning back to back championships.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air x Puma Bel-Air Clyde & First Round Pack

In a foil between the ghetto of West Philly and the swankiness of Bel-Air, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air x Puma collaboration looks to both locales to accentuate the differences often seen on the popular TV show. The recently seen West Philly First Round is emblazoned with graffiti while the Bel-Air Clyde offers a different approach with high quality Italian croc skin leather and gold highlights. The pack also includes a gold Forcer watch. The whole Fresh Prince of Bel-Air x Puma pack will release May 17th.

 

A show that needs no real introduction, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has had a long lasting impact on youth culture. Whether it be Will rocking OG Jordans to flipping his suit jacket inside-out, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was always defining in his style. In an upcoming collaboration, Puma has teamed up with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on a two pack of sneakers. Seen here is the West Philly First Round Pack which features the same iconic graffiti seen in the opening credits. The pack also includes a fluorescent green Agitation watch. Look for these to release May 17th, 2008.

Puma “Un-Alife” First Round

 

Based on last years Alife x Puma First Round collabo, Puma has allegedly decided to create a general release version based closely on the colorful First Round of prior. The First Round includes a white leather upper with different colors on the top lace holes and alternating form stripes. Five different laces are available.

Puma Glow Bike

The third part of Puma bike series manufactured by Biomega will release this spring features the Puma Glow Rider, with form and function really personifyed. Available in two colourways, one butter milk come green and the other a deep orange which turns a golden orange tone these bikes feature a paint which absorbs the sunrays during the day so when the sun goes down it produces a magnificent glowing effect.
