Kids have been lined up for over 24hrs, some traveling 350 miles, drawing the stares and questions of passers by… It wasn’t your typical Saturday morning along famous Ste-Catherine Street in Montreal, this was the drop of the 3rd Air Yeezy at Off The Hook. Each was hoping to get one of the 15 pairs to be released at 10am, including brothers Nick and Justin -all the way from Toronto and first in line. Angelo, East, Vince and the crew at Off The Hook were stoked for the launch of the much-hyped sneaker, one of the most anticipated sneaker release this city has seen, even if there were only a few pairs to go around. As the doors opened and the crowd came up the stairs to the shop, excitement was in the air, mainly from those relieved that the ordeal was over and they would soon be able to take a much needed shower. Other than the dude stuck with the size 14’s, everyone who coped a pair was all smiles, reveling in every single detail discovered on their new kicks. Even though they had to dish out a years worth of allowance (4 bills to be exact), I have a feeling it was worth every penny.
Thanks to the Off The Hook Crew for being such gracious hosts. Be sure to stop by the shop next time you’re in Montreal: 1021 Ste-Catherine Street West
